Position Title: Marketing Coordinator
Reports to: Senior VP, Resource Development
Salary: $22.00 - $25.00/Hour (Based on Experience)

General Functions: This role is responsible for coordinating and managing multiple concurrent marketing scopes of work across the organization, including donor stewardship communications, nurture campaigns for community partners and corporate supporters, Gen Z engagement initiatives, impact storytelling, gratitude and recognition communications, and brand-enhancement campaigns in support of fundraising. The Marketing Coordinator will organize inputs, draft directional creative, ensure deadlines are met, and keep workstreams aligned between internal departments and the external marketing agency. This position will serve as a manager between internal departments and our external marketing agency—ensuring requests are clearly communicated, creative assets move through the pipeline smoothly, and deadlines are consistently met. This position will also support the development of directional marketing creative (draft-level creative ideas, outlines, or concepts) to guide agency work across Community Impact initiatives, Community Partners, Resource Development campaigns, sponsorship fulfillment, events, and Pikes Peak United Way brand protection/enhancement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Cross-Functional Campaign & Workstream Management
· Coordinate day-to-day activities across multiple marketing workstreams, such as donor stewardship communication plans, nurture campaigns, Gen Z engagement campaigns, impact storytelling, gratitude communications, and brand-enhancement campaigns.
· Track internal requests, manage timelines, and maintain campaign documentation.
· Ensure each workstream’s needs and goals are clearly communicated to the external agency.
· Maintain structure across simultaneous campaigns through organized processes and tracking tools.
Marketing Coordination & Creative Development
· Draft directional marketing creative for agency-produced materials supporting various initiatives.
· Develop basic marketing materials using Canva or similar tools.
· Maintain and update a master content calendar to ensure full visibility across all campaigns.
Agency Liaison (“Air Traffic Controller”)
· Serve as the central point of coordination between internal teams and the external marketing agency.
· Track agency deliverables, timelines, and feedback loops.
· Manage review and approval workflows to keep projects moving efficiently.
Content, Communications & PR Support
· Write basic marketing copy including social posts, press release drafts, and email newsletter content.
· Collect and organize photos and stories for a content library.
· Assist with event marketing, collateral needs, and sponsorship recaps.
· Support brand consistency and quality control across all materials.
Internal Support
· Support Board Meeting preparation with draft talking points or ‘Joy Moments.’
· Assist with documentation, project tracking, and administrative tasks to support marketing operations.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
• 1–2 years of experience in marketing, communications, PR, or social media.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
• Basic proficiency in Canva or other design tools.
• Comfortable with social media platforms and trends.
• Interest in community impact and mission-driven work.

ENVIROMENTAL FACTORS:
Business office environment: professional dress/attire expected. Physical demands of the position include prolonged sitting and/or standing, occasional lifting to 50 pounds and regular use of the computer and telephone. The position involves frequent and routine public contact and travel to outside meetings and events. Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and verifiable automobile insurance are required. Occasional evening and weekend hours are expected.
