Job Title: Communications Lead
Location: Boston (Cambridge), MA
Pay Rate: $60.00 - $74.67 per hour
Hybrid position: 8x week onsite a month (flexible on days per week)
Duration: 6-month contract (potential to extend/convert based on performance/budget)Role Overview
The Communications Lead will own and drive the Global Procurement communications strategy, ensuring consistent, engaging, and high-impact messaging across internal and external audiences. This role partners closely with senior leadership to deliver executive-level communications, operational updates, and change management initiatives within a highly regulated, global environment.Key Accountabilities
- Build upon and execute internal and external communications strategies for Global Procurement
- Standardize and maintain Global Procurement intranet pages and digital presence
- Plan and deliver recurring communications, including:
- Procurement Pulse (quarterly newsletter)
- Twice-monthly Updates & Resources memo
- Monthly Viva Engage summaries
- Serve as a trusted communications advisor to Global Procurement leadership for internal and external messaging
- Develop content for external speaking engagements and leadership visibility opportunities
- Manage end-to-end execution of Global Procurement Town Halls, including planning, delivery, and follow-up
- Develop and track communications metrics to measure engagement and effectiveness
- Design and maintain onboarding and welcome materials for new Global Procurement employees
- Support onboarding communications for the Chief Procurement Officer, including leadership narratives and stakeholder alignment
- Drive adoption and use of AI tools to enhance communication efficiency, content creation, and employee engagement
Required Skills & Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required (Communications or related field preferred)
- Master’s degree preferred
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of communications experience
- Strong preference for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry experience
