Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Marketing Manager responsible for leading brand, messaging, and marketing execution for Athena Security.
This role owns the development, coordination, and delivery of clear, accurate, and compliant marketing across all channels, including video, web, events, email, and executive-facing initiatives.
The Marketing Manager serves as the central point of accountability for marketing strategy, timelines, and cross-functional alignment.
Reporting to the Director of Operations, this position translates executive vision and product capability into structured, well-executed marketing programs while ensuring consistency, accuracy, and professionalism across all outward-facing materials.
Duties
Brand Vision & Messaging Ownership
- Own Athena Security’s brand voice, messaging framework, and positioning across all marketing initiatives.
- Ensure the company mission and product capabilities are communicated clearly, accurately, and responsibly.
- Maintain consistency in tone and messaging across all channels and audiences.
Scriptwriting, Copywriting & Editorial Control
- Write, edit, approve, and proof all marketing copy, including website content, email campaigns, video scripts, advertising, and event materials.
- Develop compliant scripts for product demonstrations, educational content, advertising, and internal or reseller-facing materials.
- Translate complex security technology into language that is understandable and accurate.
- Serve as the final editorial authority for marketing content prior to release.
Videography Collaboration & Creative Direction
- Collaborate closely with the videographer on all shoots and content planning.
- Provide narrative direction and on-set guidance when needed to ensure messaging objectives are met.
- Ensure video content aligns with brand standards, messaging strategy, and intended use.
Events, Trade Shows & Field Marketing
- Own all events, conferences, and trade shows from planning through execution and post-event follow-up, regardless of physical attendance.
- Serve as the primary owner and decision-maker for event marketing strategy, timelines, and deliverables.
- Attend and lead all event planning meetings.
- Coordinate with logistics and purchasing teams to ensure all required materials, signage, and assets are produced, packed, and shipped on time.
- Obtain explicit confirmation and green-light approval from warehouse and logistics teams that event materials are prepared and in transit prior to each event.
- Source, manage, and maintain trade show materials and booth assets.
- Create or oversee all event signage and visual materials.
- Ensure events are promoted and supported through digital marketing channels before and after execution.
- Maintain accountability for event readiness, presentation quality, and brand consistency.
Website, Digital Presence & Email Marketing
- Own all website content updates and edits in coordination with external design and development teams.
- Ensure website messaging, visuals, and structure remain accurate and aligned with brand and product updates.
- Create and manage a monthly marketing newsletter, including product updates, announcements, and educational content.
- Maintain consistency across all digital platforms.
Competitive & Market Intelligence
- Review competitor messaging, campaigns, and content.
- Identify opportunities to improve clarity, differentiation, and positioning.
- Apply insights to refine marketing strategy and execution.
Executive Collaboration & Strategic Alignment
- Work directly with the executive team to translate leadership priorities into marketing initiatives.
- Ensure leadership intent is accurately represented across marketing materials.
- Present marketing strategies, initiatives, and recommendations to leadership.
Marketing Calendar, Planning & Accountability
- Own and maintain the master marketing calendar as the system of record for all marketing activity.
- Track progress, dependencies, and deadlines across all facets of marketing, including video production, website updates, email campaigns, events, advertising, and executive initiatives.
- Ensure cross-functional visibility into marketing timelines, priorities, and status.
- Identify conflicts, risks, and resource constraints early.
- Drive accountability by ensuring commitments are documented and followed through.
Testimonials & Customer Content
- Lead planning and execution for customer testimonials.
- Coordinate on-site logistics and interview flow.
- Ensure testimonial content is accurate, appropriate, and aligned with intended use.
Design, Advertising & Brand Stewardship
- Perform basic graphic design tasks using Adobe Creative Suite and Canva as needed.
- Support campaigns, newsletters, web updates, internal materials, and events.
- Develop and present quarterly advertising and brand strategy reviews.
- Evaluate campaign performance and recommend adjustments.
Compliance & Quality Control
- Ensure all marketing output meets legal, ethical, and industry compliance standards.
- Serve as the final quality checkpoint for accuracy, clarity, and appropriateness prior to publication.
Success Metrics
- Marketing initiatives launch on schedule and as planned.
- Events are fully prepared, approved by logistics, and executed without last-minute issues.
- Messaging is consistent, accurate, and aligned with leadership priorities.
- Website, campaigns, and events are professional and current.
- Leadership has clear visibility into marketing plans and progress.
- Videography and creative execution operate efficiently with clear direction.
- Marketing functions as an organized, reliable, and scalable operation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
