Global Macro Research & Content Lead
We’re hiring a Global Macro Research & Content Lead to work directly with Nicholas Crown, one of the most widely followed independent voices in finance, with a 3M+ global audience across social platforms and a rapidly growing paid macro newsletter.
This role has direct responsibility for strengthening and scaling the Crown Macro newsletter. You will help determine what research becomes published work, how it is framed, and how the research is amplified across platforms. Success in this role is measured by sustained subscriber engagement and growth.
If you can think like a macro strategist, write like an editor, and care deeply about intellectual honesty, this role will feel natural.

The Role
You’ll sit at the intersection of macro research, editorial judgment, and amplification.
You’ll work directly with Nicholas Crown to:
- Develop and pressure-test macro views
- Translate research into clear public-facing insights
- Ensure everything published reflects real market mechanics

Key Responsibilities
- Macro Research & Perspective
- Research global macro themes across rates, FX, equities, commodities, and volatility
- Identify regime shifts, policy-driven opportunities, and flow-based dynamics
- Develop clear macro theses grounded in data and price action
- Monitor evolving conditions and update views in real time
- Actively challenge assumptions and surface second-order risks
Newsletter Ownership & Growth
- Own the research-to-publication pipeline for the Crown Macro newsletter
- Help determine editorial direction, cadence, and thematic focus
- Turn raw macro research into high-signal, readable, must-open letters
- Work with Nicholas Crown to refine tone, structure, and depth
- Improve subscriber retention by increasing clarity, consistency, and insight density
- Develop recurring frameworks and lenses that compound over time
Content Validation & Amplification
- Review and validate all market-related content before publication
- Partner with video and editorial teams on framing, titles, and structure
- Ensure public commentary is accurate, defensible, and responsibly framed
- Flag overreach, narrative drift, or credibility risk
- Help align content with current macro conditions and audience sophistication

- Ability to think in regimes, flows, and feedback loops
- Comfort with rates, FX, equities, commodities, and volatility
- Strong written communication
- Independent thinker who can defend views and adapt when conditions change

Nice to Haves
- Experience in macro research, strategy, or trading (bank, hedge fund, AM, family office)
- Experience writing or editing market newsletters
- Familiarity with short-form market video / finance creators on social media
- Interest in educating a large, sophisticated audience
