Global Macro Content & Research Analyst
This is a contract-to-hire position working directly with Nicholas Crown.
We're hiring a Global Macro Content & Research Analyst to work directly with Nicholas Crown — one of the most widely followed independent voices in finance, with 3M+ followers across Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok, and a rapidly growing paid macro newsletter, The Crown Macro Letter.
This role sits at the intersection of macro research and daily content production. You'll generate content ideas, write captions and titles, help build each week's Crown Macro Letter. You'll ensure every piece of output, short-form video, newsletter, story, is grounded in real market mechanics. You're not just researching. You're deciding what becomes content, how it's framed, and how it drives subscribers back to the Letter.
If you can read a rates market, write a hook, and care about getting both right, this role will feel natural.
About Crown Macro
Crown Macro is the research and publishing platform behind Nicholas Crown's market work. The platform focuses on global liquidity and rates, regime shifts and second-order effects, cross-asset positioning and capital flows, and cutting through retail and media narratives.
The work is distributed through a paid weekly macro newsletter (The Crown Macro Letter), daily short-form video reaching millions of viewers, and public market commentary with real audience impact. This is not marketing content. It's research-backed market interpretation at scale.
The Role
You'll operate across two lanes every day: content and research. Some days that means sourcing a data point that becomes a 30-second video seen by 500K people. Other days it means structuring a section of the weekly Letter that keeps paid subscribers locked in.
The through-line is the same: find the insight, frame it sharply, point it back to the Letter.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Content Ideation & Output
- Generate daily short-form content ideas rooted in live macro conditions — every idea should have a clear path back to the Letter
- Write and refine captions, on-screen titles, and hooks that meet Crown Macro's content standards
- Partner with Nicholas Crown and the video team on framing, structure, and accuracy for daily posts
- Ensure all public-facing content is defensible, data-grounded, and aligned with current macro positioning
- Flag narrative drift, overreach, or credibility risk before anything publishes
Weekly Newsletter Support
- Support the research-to-publication pipeline for The Crown Macro Letter each week
- Help structure and draft sections of the Letter — turning raw macro research into high-signal, readable output
- Work with Nicholas Crown to refine tone, thematic focus, and insight density
- Develop recurring frameworks and lenses that compound subscriber value over time
- Monitor evolving conditions and update views in real time as the week's Letter takes shape
Macro Research & Perspective
- Research global macro themes across rates, FX, equities, commodities, and volatility
- Identify regime shifts, policy-driven opportunities, and flow-based dynamics
- Develop clear macro theses grounded in data and price action
- Surface data points and market observations that feed both the Letter and daily content

- Deep understanding of global macro and cross-asset markets
- Ability to think in regimes, flows, and feedback loops
- Strong written communication — you can write a clean caption and a clean research note
- Comfort generating ideas daily, not just analyzing on request
- Independent thinker who can defend views and adapt when conditions change
- Low ego, high standards, collaborative mindset
Nice to Haves
- Experience in macro research, strategy, or trading (bank, hedge fund, AM, family office)
- Experience writing or editing market newsletters
- Familiarity with short-form finance content and how hooks, titles, and captions drive engagement
- Interest in educating a large, sophisticated audience
