Position Overview:
Mother Hen is seeking a creative, organized, and results-driven Digital Marketing Coordinator/Strategist to manage both the front-end and back-end of our digital presence. This role supports brand growth by maintaining our website, managing social media, engaging online communities, generating leads, and creating compelling content that connects with families and caregivers. This position blends strategy, content creation, technical website work, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Website Management
- Update and maintain the Mother Hen website (front-end content and back-end functionality). (ex. making sure the store checkout runs smoothly, proper plugins are in place/functioning appropriately)
- Ensure services, programs, workshop listings, and updates are clearly visible and user-friendly.
- Optimize pages for engagement and lead generation.
Social Media & Community Engagement
- Manage and grow Mother Hen social media platforms.
- Actively engage in Facebook Groups and online communities (IG/LinkedIn/etc) to build relationships and generate leads.
- Share creative content and promote services consistently.
Content Creation
- Edit short videos for social media and campaigns.
- Create and distribute bi-monthly newsletters.
- Assist with flyers, announcements, and digital promotions.
Digital Marketing Strategy
- Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns aligned with Mother Hen’s mission.
- Generate creative ideas to increase visibility and attract new clients.
- Coordinate messaging across website, email, and social platforms.
Analytics & Optimization
- Track website and social performance.
- Use data insights to improve engagement, traffic, and conversions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with website platforms and basic backend management.
- Strong social media management and content creation skills.
- Video editing and email newsletter experience.
- Ability to think strategically while executing daily tasks.
- Excellent written communication.
- Organized, self-motivated, and creative.
- Familiarity with analytics tools is a plus.
