Editorial and Content Strategy Director
The Editorial & Content Strategy Director serves as the strategic, creative and operational leader for content across the healthcare system’s editorial website, newsletter, podcast, social media channels and other emerging platforms. This role is responsible for operational management and monitoring of the consumer-facing channels, while ensuring content is purposeful, insight-driven and aligned with broader Marketing and Communications strategy to advance NewYorkPresbyterian’s reputation, brand and growth agenda. You'll set the vision for how content engages consumers across channels —meeting them where they are with the right content, in the right formats, and at the right moments, translating complex healthcare topics into accessible, engaging content that educates and empowers consumers and strengthens the institution’s reputation. Ensure that each platform serves a distinct yet connected purpose within the consumer journey and contributes to institutional impact with a focus on brand building and patient growth. This role is responsible for expanding the team’s strengths and equipping them with the skills and frameworks needed to ensure all content aligns with measurable objectives grounded in data and insights. You'll need an understanding of AI -based search strategy and will partner with the Digital team and agencies to ensure content is designed and optimized for impact. Additionally, you will be responsible for articulating priorities, outcomes, and value to senior leadership.
This is a full time day shift position working 4 days at our Corporate Office in mid-town Manhattan, and the ability for 1 day remote.
Preferred Criteria
- 10+ years of editorial experience in digital media, journalism, healthcare communications, content marketing or related fields
- Proven leadership experience managing editorial teams, guiding talent development, and advancing strategic priorities
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to simplify complex medical topics
- Ability to balance creativity with strategic thinking in a fast paced environment

Salary Range
$193,000-$258,000/Annual
