Job Description And Duties
This position is Hybrid and eligible for telework up to three (3) days a week and required to report to the office two (2) times a week or as needed/required in accordance with CCSWG's Telework Policy. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

Under direction of California Commission on the Status of Women and Girls' (CCSWG's) Communications Director (Supervisor II), the Information Officer I (specialist) I will be responsible for a wide range of general public relations, marketing, and outreach assignments including preparing informational material for public dissemination through various communication channels; researching and preparing replies to media inquiries; assisting with planning events; writing, editing, and reviewing talking points and other outreach materials; social media management; web content creation and management; video editing and creation, attending and staffing events; and collecting, evaluating, and distributing information. The Information Officer I (specialist) will use creativity, web design, videography, photography, writing, editing and content creation skills to assist in amplifying agency visibility; celebrating our work in print, on line, and across digital and social media platforms; building awareness of CCSWG across the state; and improving our outreach efforts across all audiences. The Information Officer I (specialist) exercises a high degree of initiative and good judgment, develops logical and effective solutions to managerial and administrative challenges, effectively plans and execute multiple projects simultaneously utilizing excellent written and verbal communication skills.
This position may require travel.
