Description
This is for someone who is excited about learning all aspects of HR - talent, payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, employee communication, workers comp, etc, and wants to dip their toes in all of the different functions of a Human Resource team. This role is for someone who is meticulous and detail oriented in their work with a passion for supporting those who make a difference for kids every day.

Responsibilities
Compliance & Reporting
- Monthly Benefits Reconciliation with all benefits vendors in our recon system and communicate with carriers any discrepancies
- Licensure Compliance and Reporting
- Prepare Reports for End-of-Year Audit, Equity Reporting, Personnel reporting - other regular reports as necessary
- Support with 403b administration - EPARs, downloading invoices and uploading them biweekly in line with payroll administration
- Bulk documentation upload into HRIS for all employee documents to ensure compliance - offer agreements, transcripts, background check results, employee change forms, stipends, onboarding packets, etc.
- Complete all Employee Change Forms and ensure they are signed in a timely manner by employees
Substitute Pool
- Manage current Daily and Long-Term Substitute postings in ATS for all geographies
- Maintain active substitute pool numbers for each pool
- Review applications, screen, and onboard all new substitutes across the state
- Write offer letters for all new substitutes
- In collaborations with the AD, meet regularly with DoOs to check-in on substitutes
- In collaboration with AD, facilitate in-person and virtual substitute onboardings / trainings
- Create centralized system to show active substitute pool and keep all stakeholders (DoOs, People Ops, Talent Team, Principals, and HoSs) in the loop
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding New Staff
- Support AD of Talent Acquisition & Retention in hiring and onboarding all Teachers, Teaching Fellows, and Ops staff for KDCP, KPUE, and KPMS
- Review all New Hire paperwork and verify I - 9 documentation for completeness, marking new hires active in HRIS
- Support with the roll out of KIPP Connectors program for all geographies (next year)
- Cultivation calls (maybe names we’ve gathered from career fairs or other community events)
- Monthly engagement newsletter to be sent to prospects
- Manage social media pages - Instagram & LinkedIn
- Attend events and manage KIPP NC table and collateral
Administrative Work
- Manage all hr@kippnc.org communication
- Manage all talent@kippnc.org communication
- Manage all cert@kippnc.org communication
- In collaboration with MD of Talent & People Operations, write all stipends for all roles throughout the organization
- In collaboration with Talent Managers and AD, write all referrals bonus letters for staff
- Monthly, collect invoices for benefits carriers, reconcile, breakout for Finance and send to the appropriate Finance Team member
- Updating Applicant Tracking System (ATS) including posting jobs, removing jobs, moving people through stages
- With support from the MD of Talent & People Ops, complete Cultural Exchange Teacher paperwork for all geographies
Team Responsibilities
- Attend daily morning stand-ups
- Attend and participate in weekly one-on-ones (O3) with manager
- Be present in schools when necessary for work, for team meetings, or when asked
