Our company
Alteradvise is an international cultural consulting company founded in 2025. We are dedicated to shaping the cities of tomorrow by providing advice for sustainable cultural projects worldwide.
Our social enterprise is operating as an expert network covering a wide range of specialisations across the cultural industry. One of our defining principles is the careful curation of expertise. We deliberately avoid overlapping top skills among our consultants to ensure that each of them remains in a priority position whenever their core expertise is required.
The company operates through a referral system where Alteradvise connects clients with consultants in its network, and consultants refer their clients to deliver services through Alteradvise. This fosters a healthy, solidarity-based network aimed at helping each consultant achieve their desired workload.
Our experts work remotely with occasional visits to clients.
What we are looking for
We are seeking either two consultants - a museologist and a curator - or a single consultant possessing both skill sets to join our global network.
As a consultant in museology, the ideal candidate will bring extensive institutional knowledge across various types of museums. The consultant should be able to provide strategic advisory services on the key challenges facing modern museums, including institutional strategy, governance issues, digital transformation, collection management, and stakeholder engagement. They should translate their operational experience into clear, actionable recommendations to help institutions navigate sectoral transitions.
As a curator, the ideal candidate will have proven experience in curatorial practice, including exhibition planning, collection development, and audience engagement. They should be able to design and implement exhibitions and programs that reflect institutional mission and public interest, while integrating best practices in interpretation, accessibility, and cultural mediation. The curator should also provide guidance on acquisition strategies, provenance research, and conservation priorities.
The consultant should be able to produce high-quality deliverables, such as reports, presentations, and strategic briefs, that clearly communicate insights and recommendations to clients and stakeholders. They should also have the ability to identify calls for projects and tenders, as well as key stakeholders and decision-makers in their region (North America).
