Summary/Objective
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Digital Marketing and Communications Strategist is responsible for the development and execution of external marketing and communication campaigns utilizing digital and social media channels to support the overall marketing and business goals.
Essential Functions
- Supports multiple firm-wide marketing and communications programs, campaigns and tactics designed to bring awareness to CWA’s services, methodologies and capabilities in order to generate new leads.
- Serves as the lead campaign strategist, multimedia content creator and developer. Creates copy, schedules, timelines, and initiates execution in support of marketing campaigns and business initiatives.
- Supports and helps develop the overall firm digital strategy through the execution and implementation of digital communication including website, visual creative and video, monthly newsletter, email, events, paid and owned digital and social media.
- Strong contributor to content development, copywriting, and editing on external communications. Involves maintaining knowledge of industry, competitive and firm practices to make recommendations for new content, campaigns, and digital tactics.
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining CWA’s brand standards. Firm-wide as well as in collaboration with agencies, contractors, affiliates and business partners to help enforce overall compliance with style and voice standards, as well as adherence to firm’s corporate compliance and government regulations.
Responsibilities And Duties
- Responsiveness to day-to-day project management duties such as proofreading, copywriting, editing, collateral creation and updates.
- Point of contact for content updates through agency partners and the website content management system (Word Press).
- Strategy, development and execution of HTML email marketing engagement programs to nurture prospects from marketing leads to sales qualified leads through firm’s Marketing Automation Tool (Pardot).
- List management and segmentation of various email lists within multiple platforms.
- Tracking and reporting on campaign analytics through the CRM (Salesforce) and MAT (Pardot) tools.
- Email and blog copywriting, creation, and automation for monthly newsletter and ad-hoc campaigns.
- Creative and digital support on campaigns and programs in collaboration with the marketing team, digital agency partner and firm’s executive and planning teams.
- Data analysis and measurement of website traffic and social campaigns.
- Working with sales team, agency partners, vendors and freelancers. Collaborating with SMEs to create new content and tell the story through the brand’s voice.

Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution
- Minimum five years’ experience in marketing, communications, journalism or advertising
- Must have a working business knowledge of email engagement programs, digital and social media including prior career experience planning copywriting, managing and executing digital campaigns
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to edit basic HTML and proficiency using a website content management system (WordPress), email and marketing automation tools, Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator and Photoshop
- Competence in AP style
- Experience with customer relationship management tools (preferably SalesForce), and social media platforms
- Creative, deadline driven, organized and detail obsessed
Travel
Limited travel, if any at all.
Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing may be required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, exempt position. Remote work permitted. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some flexibility in hours based on management’s approval.

Compensation
Minimum: $69,500 - Maximum: $74,000
