This position will support Navarro-ATL. Navarro-ATL is located in Richland, WA, and operates, manages, and maintains the 222-S Laboratory Complex for the Department of Energy. The Navarro-ATL members are Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc. (Oak Ridge, TN), and Advanced Technologies and Laboratories International (Gaithersburg, MD).
Under limited supervision, you will provide a variety of highly complex secretarial and administrative functions in support of the Navarro-ATL Strategic Interface Organization to ensure smooth, timely, and efficient operations. Your professional demeanor will be the first to greet guests while supporting general administrative and specific human resource interface, labor relation, communication and strategic integration duties. You must be able to work independently on projects from conception to completion and must be able to work to meet deadlines with the ability to manage a variety of activities and/or confidential business or personal matters with discretion. You will be part of a close team of fun and energetic professionals that aim to go above the status quo in solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Under minimal supervision, performs a variety of highly complex secretarial and administrative functions in support of management and staff
- Successfully complete crucial aspects of assigned deliverables with a hands-on approach that facilitates the Executive or Senior Manager's ability to effectively lead the organization
- Receives and screens visitors and telephone calls, providing information and handling issues that may require sensitivity and the use of sound independent judgement
- Prioritizes conflicting needs; handles matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows-through on projects to successful completion
- Duties performed require extensive knowledge and application of departmental and company policies, and procedures and the ability to exercise a wide latitude of personal judgment while maintaining sensitivity of confidential business or personal information
- Independently manages multiple tasks and responsibilities with competing priorities and deadlines, screens and prioritizes communications from external and internal sources, and organizes and maintains administrative processes
- Prepares and issues quality and timely correspondence, reports, and presentation materials to ensure products contain zero defects before delivery
- Uses initiative and judgment during manager's absence to see that matters requiring attention are referred to delegated authority or handled in a timely manner to minimize the effect of the manager's absence
- Updates and maintains information in databases, establishes and maintains department records, files; tracks expenditures; prepares status reports and charts as requested
- Supports meeting requests, and coordinates the department's or manager's interface with other personnel, company organizations, clients, and external groups
- Prepares travel and training requests; makes and confirms travel and other arrangements for conferences and business trips; compiles expense reports and requests reimbursement for expenditures as appropriate
- Provides continuous effort to improve office operations and streamline work processes and works cooperatively and jointly with all levels of management and staff to provide quality customer service
- Supports managers with tracking completion of employee requirements such as Employee Job Task Analysis (EJTA) forms, timesheets, required training, etc
- Inventories office supplies and places orders.
- Supports creation of templates, posters, other marketing/communications materials
- Supports in event and meeting planning activities, including Hanford Site tours.
- Supports writing and/or editing and obtain concurrence on communications materials, including employee messages, reports, presentations, newsletter articles for internal and external publications, social media posts, news releases, etc.
- Assists in coordinating and creating internal and external webpage content.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma and 5 years directly related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School diploma and 10 years directly related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience as a Hanford Contractor administrative support provider
- Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail

Annual Salary Range (based on full-time 40 hours per week)
Grade 6: $50,825 - $64,075
Grade 7: $56,000 - $70,600
Grade 8: $61,600 - $77,700
The grade level offered to the selected candidate will be based on business needs and the candidate's education, training, and/or relevant experience.
In accordance with the Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc (Navarro) salary determination process, Navarro takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. A candidate's salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.
