Education and Program Coordinator
Organizational Overview
Child Advocacy Centers of Wisconsin, INC (CACWI) is a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides technical assistance and support to Wisconsin’s sixteen Child Advocacy Centers, as well as multidisciplinary teams around the state. Child Advocacy Centers coordinate a neutral, trauma-informed, child-focused investigation in cases of suspected child maltreatment.
Mission: To enhance Wisconsin’s response to child maltreatment by guiding statewide leadership and facilitating meaningful access to Child Advocacy Center and multidisciplinary team services.
Vision: We envision a state with safe, healthy, and resilient children and families supported by a strong network of child maltreatment professionals.
Job Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the Executive Director to establish short and long-term goals aligned with the mission
• Organize all aspects of virtual and in-person trainings related to child maltreatment offered by CACWI, Including the WI CAN training program
• Provide technical support to training participants and speakers during educational programming
• Complete continuing education credit applications and certificates
• Maintain all needed documentation for trainings and CACWI activities including attendance reports, evaluations, and other relevant documentation
• Communicate with and support membership needs
• Update two websites (WordPress) as needed
• Build and maintain a communication hub and resource library for CACs and MDT members
• Develop and send out weekly newsletter for CAC’s and MDT members and manage mailing lists.
• Design materials related to trainings (e.g., flyers, brochures)
• Exhibit polite and professional communication whenever representing company.
• Track data needed for grant reporting in an organized, accessible and timely manner
• Complete grant reports before deadlines; collaborate on revisions if needed.
• Support all aspects of statewide peer review program, including scheduling and all related communication
• Design evaluation surveys to assess training impact and stakeholder needs; analyze results to inform program improvements
• Process all aspects of scholarship awards including award letters, expense reports, ensure adherence to grant requirements, ensure accuracy and submit to accountant by deadlines
• Provide support to the Executive Director in achieving organizational operations and activities
• Complete other tasks as assigned
Required Skills
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe, Fresh Desk, Survey Monkey
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Zoom, Zoom Webinar, Microsoft Teams, and online software platforms
• Excellent professional communication and organizational skills
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Canva and/or graphic design
• Experience with WordPress and/or HTML
• Demonstrates independent initiative by proactively identifying tasks and completing responsibilities without prompting
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred Skills
• Experience in the field of child maltreatment (e.g., investigation, prosecution, victim advocacy)
• Event planning
• Trained in forensic interviewing
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
• This is a full-time position with a primarily remote work structure; occasional in-person attendance is required for trainings, meetings, or events
• Requires prolonged periods of sitting and computer use
• Occasional travel within Wisconsin may be required
• May involve lifting and transporting training materials (up to 25 lbs)

Compensation and Employment Terms
• Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications and will comply with all applicable Wisconsin wage laws and federal standards. The starting salary for this position is $56,000, with final compensation determined based on experience and qualifications.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and fingerprints.
