DEPARTMENT: Marketing
REPORTS TO: Reosrt Operations & Marketing Manager
Summary
Assists the marketing department where needed to increase department efficiency and boost overall revenue for Ruttger’s Bay Lake Resort. Maintain interdepartmental lines of communication and interact on a daily basis with guests and resort staff.
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
- Junior or senior level students enrolled in a college marketing program.
- Must be available for a variety of hours and shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
Essential Duties
Create Content
- Develop engaging content for social media posts. Ensure all content and interactions feel genuine and align with our brand
Profile Management
- Ensure online profiles (Google, Yelp, etc.) are up to date with current information and images.
Competitive Research
- Conduct research on competitors to inform marketing strategies and content creation.
Newsletter And Slideshow Creation
- Assist in the creation of the weekly newsletter, including gathering content, writing articles, and designing layouts.
- Develop slideshows for main lobby tv and other areas of the resort.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the retail director on projects such as signage design, social media campaigns, and other marketing materials.
Monitor
- Track the impact of community engagement on social media. Monitor the trends in social media tools, applications, channels, strategy and design.
Continuous Learning
- Stay informed about the latest social media trends and best practices to keep your strategy effective and relevant.
- Ensures good safety practices.
- Foster positive working relationships and communication with all departments.
- All other duties as assigned.
