Role Description
Small New London Law Firm seeks a full-time financial administrator. Main duties include preparing monthly client invoices, managing accounts receivable & payable, reporting to payroll provider, ordering office supplies, and maintaining client trust accounts with attorney oversight. Also includes answering the phone, responding to client inquiries, and maintaining the client database as needed. The candidate will also process credit card payments, assist in publishing the firm's newsletter, and assist in preparing the firm’s professional liability insurance applications and income and personal property tax returns. Prior bookkeeping or banking experience preferred. Must have knowledge of QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and Adobe Acrobat. Candidate must have a positive attitude, learn quickly, keep confidences, and like to create systems.

Qualifications
- Reliably commute to our New London office. This is an on-site, in-person position.
- Strong Analytical Skills to evaluate financial data and provide actionable insights
- Solid background in Accounting, including budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance
- Excellent Communication skills to convey financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders
- Keen attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in financial documentation
- Proficiency with financial software and tools
- Knowledge of legal industry financial operations is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
