Our major entertainment client is seeking a Content Editor to work a 4-month assignment (40 hrs/week). This is a hybrid role - candidates must be able to for onsite in Knoxville, TN (exact onsite days are TBD).
The Content Editor uses their knowledge of digital media and food and home topics to create, edit, and update content that drives traffic and grows audiences. The person in this role collaborates with the Editorial, Commerce, SEO, and Newsletter teams. The Content Editor nimbly takes on new projects as assigned by the editorial team.
Responsibilities:
- Pitch and write/edit articles for multiple TV networks (food, home and commerce verticals)
- Assist various editors with content building, updating, optimizing, and editing as needed
- Use research, analytics, and performance data to make decisions about content optimization and programming for best content performance
Qualifications:
- A Bachelors degree or equivalent related experience
- Strong industry experience (web, entertainment/lifestyle media, new platforms, mobile, social, etc.)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Initiative to work independently and proactively, and ability to assess and prioritize information
- Strong writing skills, specifically to fit the voice of the overall brand/site strategy
- Broad understanding of online food, home, and commerce content
- Ability to manage and thrive in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities
- Knowledge of primary research, writing, editing, and copy style
- Familiarity with content management systems
- Experience using SEO analytics tools to analyze large data sets
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
