Robert Half is partnering with our client, a Fortune 500 company in the telecommunications and media space, to hire a Communications Project Manager for a 7-month contract supporting internal communications and employee engagement initiatives.
Location: Mt. Laurel, NJ (preferred) or Philadelphia, PA (hybrid – 4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
Duration: 7-month contract
Pay Rate: $53–58/hour (W2)
Hours: 40 hours/week
Position Overview:
The Communications Project Manager will play a key role in supporting and maintaining employee engagement programs and internal communications across the organization. This role is highly focused on content creation, stakeholder engagement, and execution of communication initiatives, rather than purely technical project management. The ideal candidate is a proactive, communications-focused program manager who can independently own initiatives, build strong relationships across teams, and drive engagement through thoughtful storytelling, structured communication, and data-driven insights.
Employee Engagement & Internal Communications
- Manage and execute communication strategies across the organization, ensuring visibility into key initiatives and activities
- Partner with internal teams to gather updates, stories, and content to share across multiple communication channels
- Build relationships across departments to understand team needs and develop targeted engagement solutions
- Design and distribute employee surveys, analyze feedback, and help translate insights into actionable improvements
Newsletter Ownership & Content Development
- Own end-to-end development of internal newsletters (multiple formats and audiences)
- Source content from stakeholders, conduct interviews, and gather updates across teams
- Write, edit, and compile engaging content aligned with organizational messaging
- Publish newsletters through SharePoint and other internal platforms
SharePoint & Content Management
- Manage and maintain Modern SharePoint sites and pages
- Build and update pages, organize content modules, and ensure information is current and accessible
- Continuously optimize SharePoint as a central hub for internal communications
AI Initiatives & Learning Programs
- Support AI education and adoption efforts across the organization
- Help plan and coordinate learning initiatives, including scheduling and logistics
- Develop and distribute educational materials and resources
- Organize recurring AI showcases, manage registrations, and ensure sessions are recorded
- Leverage tools such as Copilot or similar AI platforms to streamline communication workflows
Executive & Leadership Support
- Develop All Hands presentations and executive-level communications materials
- Support leadership initiatives focused on employee engagement and organizational alignment
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in program or project management with a strong focus on communications
- Proven ability to independently own and execute communication initiatives from concept through delivery
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building experience across multiple teams
- Proficiency with Modern SharePoint (page building, content management, and updates)
- Experience creating newsletters, internal communications, and engagement campaigns
- Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., Copilot) and interest in driving adoption within an organization
- Highly proactive, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience supporting executive communications (e.g., All Hands, presentations) is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred
