As the Library Editor/Marketing Specialist, you will collaborate closely with colleagues to refine internal processes, develop engaging marketing and outreach content, and support initiatives that strengthen awareness of library services and resources. Summary Of Responsibilities
- Creates, grows, and manages marketing content for the library. Coordinates the preparation and distribution of department publications from concept to final product, including newsletters, annual reports, marketing visuals, and program content. Writes original marketing and departmental content for a variety of audiences and communication platforms.
- Edits copy for accuracy, grammar, clarity, style, and other technical and creative considerations. Ensures copy meets Fulton Library formatting and style standards. Proofreads marketing materials and protocol documents for logic and organization, and initiates changes to existing documents. Formats and edits the Fulton Library strategic plan.
- Assists with library events and campus orientations and represents the library in various settings.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in a directly related field of study or a combination of education and experience totaling four years.
Preferred Qualifications
Specialized editing, marketing, or similar certification preferred.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Knowledge
- Knowledge and experience with newsletter-building software platforms, including Emma.
- Knowledge and experience with Qualtrics XM platform.
- Knowledge of basic design principles, including balance, color, rhythm, contrast, etc.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Teams, To-Do, Planner, and Excel.
- Knowledge and experience in writing and editing copy.
- Familiar with and experienced in using the Chicago Manual of Style.
