Overview
We’re seeking a results-driven B2B Email Marketing Specialist to join our Chicago-based SaaS marketing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for fueling sales pipeline and generating leads for our industry-leading software. Leveraging data and best practices, you’ll deliver high-performing campaigns across a variety of initiatives, including upselling and retention. As “owner” of the email channel, you’ll drive email planning, development, and execution, including campaign strategy, copywriting, list segmentation, A/B testing, scheduling, and reporting. This position is based in our downtown Chicago office and will report to the Director of Marketing.
Core responsibilities
- Campaign Planning & Development: Create and manage engaging email campaigns tailored to specific customer segments, product roadmap, and overall marketing objectives
- Calendar & Scheduling: Work with marketing, sales, product, and customer success to maintain calendar of email communications that clearly defines plans and all associated details on monthly basis
- Content Delivery: Write and deploy clear and compelling copy for email, landing pages, and graphics, conducting thorough reviews and testing to ensure quality and accuracy
- List Management & Segmentation: Build and maintain clean, compliant email lists, ensuring accurate segmentation for targeted messaging
- Automation & Workflows: Identify opportunities to leverage automation to efficiently maximize audience reach and boost engagement throughout the customer lifecycle
- A/B Testing: Proactively conduct experiments on different email components such as subject lines, CTA button colors, send times, etc. to assess effectiveness and optimize performance
- Analytics & Reporting: Monitor and track KPIs to report on results and understand performance, proactively making recommendations & implementing changes based on findings

Key skills & competencies
- 3-5 years experience in copywriting, email marketing, or digital marketing (previous writing samples required)
- Familiarity with HubSpot
- Strong understanding of demand gen strategy and email marketing best practices
- Exceptional written communication and project management skills
- High attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or relevant field
