TrueRestore is an AI-powered estimation and field documentation platform for restoration and mitigation contractors. Our customers walk into a water loss, take photos from their phone, and get a carrier-ready Xactimate-quality estimate in 60 seconds. We're early, we're growing, and we need someone to build the marketing engine from zero.
You won't be joining a marketing team. You are the marketing team. You'll report directly to the CEO, own every marketing channel, and be measured on one thing: how many new paying customers your work produces.
This is not a content writing job. This is not a growth hacking job. This is a "do whatever it takes to fill the funnel" job — and in the restoration industry, that means showing up in the Facebook groups where contractors hang out, shooting product demo videos on your phone, building referral programs, working conference booths, creating materials for channel partners, running paid Meta ads, and writing SEO content that ranks. In the same week.
In your first 60 days you'll:
- Work the booth at the biggest restoration conference of the year (RESTORE, Las Vegas) and own the entire lead follow-up pipeline
- Build and launch a customer referral program
- Create franchise marketing materials for our channel partner who's rolling TrueRestore out to 100+ locations
- Publish 16 SEO blog posts targeting searches restoration contractors actually do
- Post 24+ Instagram Reels and product demos, then boost the winners with paid Meta ads
- Become a recognized contributor in 5+ restoration Facebook groups
- Run an upsell campaign to the existing customer base for our AI estimating add-on
- Build the HubSpot email infrastructure: nurture sequences, newsletter, segmented lists
What You'll Own
- Social content + community:Instagram Reels (3x/week), Facebook group engagement, Reddit — you're the voice of TrueRestore in the places restoration contractors actually spend time online
- SEO content:competitor comparison pages, how-to guides, programmatic city pages — bottom-of-funnel content designed to rank and convert, not win awards
- Paid Meta ads:$500-1K/mo test budget to start, boosting organic content that performs — you're optimizing for trial signups, not impressions
- Free trial funnel:driving traffic, measuring conversion, A/B testing landing pages — the whole thing from first visit to paid customer
- Customer referral program:setup, launch, ongoing management, making sure customers have a dead-simple way to refer other contractors
- Channel partner marketing:one-pagers, pitch decks, co-branded landing pages, onboarding emails for franchise rollouts — making it easy for our partners to sell TrueRestore
- Events:conference prep, attendee intelligence, lead capture, follow-up sequences — you're not just attending, you're running the pipeline operation
- Email:HubSpot workflows, nurture sequences, monthly newsletter, upsell campaigns
What We're Looking For:
We don't care about your title history. We care about what you've actually done.
- You've marketed to contractors, tradespeople, or blue-collar operators before.Construction, restoration, HVAC, plumbing, roofing, landscaping, pest control — any field service industry where the buyer doesn't read whitepapers and finds their tools through word of mouth and Facebook groups. If you've only marketed B2B SaaS to other tech companies, this probably isn't the right fit.
- You can create content fast.Blog posts, Reels, social posts, one-pagers, email sequences — we need volume and speed, not perfection. Two blog posts a week and three Instagram posts. You don't need a videographer or a designer. You need a phone, Canva, and the ability to write like a human.
- You're comfortable with HubSpot. Not just "I've used it" — you can build workflows, set up lead scoring, create segmented lists, and build email sequences without asking someone to help you. This is your CRM and marketing automation platform.
- You've worked at a startup or small company where you were the only marketer. You know what it's like to do everything yourself. You don't need a brand guide, a content calendar template, or a monthly strategy review. You need a product, a target customer, and the freedom to go figure it out.
- You can work a conference booth AND write a nurture sequence the same week. This role requires someone who can talk to contractors face-to-face and also build HubSpot automation. That's rare. If you have it, we want to talk to you.
- You understand paid social at a practitioner level. You've run Meta/Facebook ad campaigns, set up pixels, built audiences, and optimized for conversions — not just managed an agency that did it for you.
Bonus Points
- You know what Xactimate is. You know what a supplement is. You know the difference between mitigation and restoration.
- You've worked in or marketed to the restoration/mitigation industry specifically.
- You've built a referral or affiliate program before.
- You have experience with franchise marketing or channel partner enablement.
- You're in Southern California (we're based in Huntington Beach) but this isn't required.
What We're Not Looking For
This role is probably not right for you if:
- You consider yourself a "strategist" who creates plans for other people to execute
- You need a team, a budget, and a quarter of planning before you can ship anything
- Your experience is primarily in enterprise B2B marketing to technical buyers
- You think "content" means long-form thought leadership articles
- You've never posted from a brand social account or shot a product demo on your phone
- You want to do marketing for a tech company — we're a construction tech company, and the construction part matters more than the tech part
About TrueRestore
TrueRestore (a TrueBuilt Software product) is an AI-powered field documentation and estimation platform for restoration and mitigation contractors. Contractors use TrueRestore to document water damage, fire damage, mold, and storm losses — then generate carrier-ready estimates directly from their phone.
We're a small team building two products across construction and restoration. This role is 100% focused on TrueRestore and the restoration/mitigation market. You'll work directly with the CEO, who has deep domain expertise in construction estimating and has personally attended the industry conferences, built the competitor analysis, and mapped the buyer communities. You won't be guessing at the ICP — you'll have a founder who can tell you exactly what a restoration contractor cares about.
