Written Word Media has an immediate need for a Full-Time Operations Specialist to join our team! If you are interested in online operations, email marketing, paid advertising, and books or media, this job is for you. This is a perfect opportunity to gain valuable experience in startup operations, email marketing, and customer support. Training is provided for all candidates.
This is a high-attention, deadline-driven operations role. We are seeking someone who is energized by routine precision, takes pride in an error-free track record, and can work autonomously and independently.
Here’s what you will doExecute daily email production- Own end-to-end creation and deployment of daily deal emails across all Written Word Media brands.
- Edit book descriptions, verify links, and format each email to meet brand standards before every send.
- Follow production checklists with zero shortcuts — on-time and error-free is the non-negotiable standard.
- Identify and resolve issues before they impact deployment.
Manage ad inventory and order processing- Process and fulfill advertising orders through our internal operations/management system.
- Maintain accurate records by reviewing/editing book data and reconciling orders.
- Flag discrepancies or system issues and escalate appropriately.
Support paid social advertising operations- Process new paid social campaign orders as they come in from authors and publishers.
- Create ad creative for campaigns running on Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Amazon.
- Set up and launch ads across Meta and Amazon Ads platforms following established workflows.
- Pull and report on key campaign metrics.
Handle customer support- Respond to inbound author inquiries and support tickets via email with professionalism and clarity.
- Communicate campaign details, status updates, and any issues to authors in a timely, helpful manner.
- Maintain quality and tone consistent with Written Word Media’s standard of author care.

QualificationsRequired- Demonstrated ability to execute a recurring, deadline-driven workflow with high accuracy and minimal oversight.
- Strong written communication skills and professional email etiquette.
- Comfort with web-based tools, software platforms, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a track record of low error rates.
- Availability to work a consecutive five-day schedule that includes both Saturday and Sunday (Wed–Sun or Thu–Mon).
Strongly preferred- Prior customer service or author relations experience.
- Experience with email marketing platforms or digital publishing tools.
- Familiarity with WordPress, content management systems, or ad inventory tools.
- Love of books and reading.
