Part-Time Social Media Content Creator

The Social Media Content Creator plays a vital role in sharing the mission and impact of WCS’s brand through compelling digital storytelling. This position is responsible for creating, managing, and growing the organization’s presence across social media platforms. The ideal candidate is passionate about nonprofit work, creative, and skilled in producing content that informs, inspires, and engages our online community.
What You Will Do
- Develop and implement a social media strategy that aligns with WCS’s goals, campaigns, and community engagement objectives.
- Create, publish and post original, high-quality content (graphics, photos, videos, and written posts) that tells the story of the WCS programs, people, and impact.
- Manage day-to-day activities on all social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Create and publish bimonthly WCS newsletter for external and internal audiences.
- Collaborate with program staff to highlight client success stories, community partnerships, and special initiatives while ensuring dignity and confidentiality.
- Monitor social media channels for engagement, respond to comments and messages, and foster a positive, interactive community.
- Track and analyze social media metrics to evaluate engagement and inform future content strategies.
- Stay current with trends in digital storytelling, nonprofit marketing, and social impact communication.
- Maintain consistent brand voice, messaging, and visual identity across all platforms.
Job Qualifications
We Are Looking For Someone Who Has:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered
- Experience in Social Media Management, Content Creation and Community Engagement
- Deep understanding of social media trends and analytics
- Strong storytelling, writing, and editing skills.
- Proficiency in social media management and design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, or similar platforms).
- Experience with short-form video creation (e.g., Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts).
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with diverse communities.
- Creative, organized, and mission-driven with a commitment to advancing the WCS values and goals.
