About the role
AuraPath AI helps people and organizations actually put AI to work. As part of that, we run and support a fast-growing series of community events in Orange County for both public and private setting: talks, live demos, and hands-on sessions, anywhere from 5-300 attendees. We have several events coming up this summer and need a hands-on intern to help us create, promote, and run them.
This is a real, build-it-together internship. You'll own meaningful pieces of live events from planning through recap and walk away with proof of work, not busywork.
This is an independent program run by AuraPath AI. It is not employment by, and does not represent, Anthropic.
What you'll do
You'll be the right hand for making events happen - a generalist across operations, marketing, and community. A given week might include:
Event operations & logistics
- Coordinate venues, vendors, and supplies (catering runs, name tags, signage, AV checks)
- Manage RSVPs and check-in (we use Luma)
- Build run-of-show / day-of schedules and help things run smoothly on site
- Post-event wrap-up: surveys, attendee follow-up, lessons learned
Marketing & content
- Promote events across social and email - write invites, captions, and reminders
- Design simple graphics and slides (Canva / Google Slides)
- Build and update event pages and signup forms
- Capture photos/clips and produce recap posts after each event
Community & partnerships
- Help with outreach to speakers, sponsors, and partner organizations
- Welcome and engage attendees; help newcomers find their people
- Keep our community channels active between events
We'll match the work to what's happening and to what you want to learn.
What we're looking for
- Currently enrolled in a college program and able to receive academic credit for an internship (required - this is a for-credit role)
- Marketing, communications, event management, hospitality, business, or design focus preferred - but any major with the hustle is welcome
- Organized and reliable: you follow through, hit deadlines, and sweat the details
- Strong written communication and a good eye for clean, on-brand visuals
- Comfortable with everyday tools (Google Workspace, Canva; bonus for Luma, email/newsletter tools, or social scheduling)
- Genuinely curious about AI - you don't need to be technical, but you should be excited to learn and to use tools like Claude
- Available for occasional in-person events in Orange County (evenings/weekends) and able to get there
- Self-starter who thrives in a small, fast-moving environment
Nice to have (not required): prior event or club experience, photography/video, graphic design, social media management, AI/tech community involvement.
What you'll get
- Academic credit - we'll work with your school's internship/co-op office and complete any required learning agreement and evaluations
- Real, portfolio-ready experience running live events from concept to recap
- A letter of recommendation and a genuine professional reference on completion
- Direct mentorship from a founder who is also an Anthropic Claude Ambassador, plus exposure to the AI community, speakers, and sponsors
- Your own Claude subscription to use throughout the internship, plus hands-on experience with modern AI tools
- Real AI-native skills you'll develop: learn to use AI agents and tools to plan, promote, and run events faster and smarter
- Free entry to all our events and a front-row seat to the Orange County AI scene
- Reimbursement of pre-approved out-of-pocket event expenses, such as mileage to events and supplies you purchase for us
