In this role, you will coordinate a rotating roster of live virtual fitness instructors, manage a growing on-demand library of recorded classes, contribute to marketing and program promotion, and support the team that keeps our library partners informed and engaged. Each week, you will help libraries offer their communities yoga, pilates, strength, dance, and dozens of other ways to stay healthy at home.

Responsibilities
The Virtual Fitness Class Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of Anywhere Active. Starting hourly rate is $22 an hour with room for further increases based on performance. Expected hours are 26-30 per week, with availability required during weekday business hours in US Eastern, Central, or Mountain time zones. Occasional evening or weekend availability may be needed to support live classes. Specific responsibilities include:
Live Instructor and Class Management
- Manage relationships with the rotating roster of live virtual fitness instructors, serving as their primary day-to-day point of contact
- Onboard new instructors on program standards, brand voice, and the medical and liability disclaimer each instructor delivers at the start of class
- Provide behind-the-scenes hosting for live class sessions: manage platform logistics, admit attendees, monitor the chat, and handle any technical issues so the instructor can focus on teaching
- Coordinate scheduling, tech checks, and equipment recommendations ahead of each six-week class series
- Write event descriptions and promotional copy for each class series in collaboration with the marketing team
- Gather feedback after each series and use it to make program improvements
- Manage instructor contracting and renewals, maintaining a diverse roster across modalities and demographics
Content Library Management
- Onboard new content partners, execute signed agreements, and maintain the partner database
- Tag, categorize, and organize hundreds of pre-recorded videos so patrons can easily find what they want
- Quality-check videos before they go live and identify content gaps
- Source new partners to fill those gaps and keep the outreach pipeline full
Marketing and Program Promotion
- Manage the Anywhere Active social media presence: plan, write, schedule, and post content that reaches libraries and patrons
- Help create flyers, graphics, and printables that libraries can use to promote programs to their patrons
- Draft press releases, partner spotlights, and other communications when needed
- Upload and manage content on awactive.org, including class listings, instructor bios, and resource library entries
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure all promotional materials are on-brand, timely, and aligned with broader organizational priorities
Library and Patron Support
- Work alongside the customer care team to ensure library partners and patrons receive consistent, accurate, and timely communications
- Produce a regular Anywhere Active newsletter and other email updates to keep library partners engaged and informed
- Maintain databases and spreadsheets used to track libraries, patrons, classes, and engagement
- Confirm liability waivers, MOU language, and required disclaimers are in place across all touchpoints
- Complete other special projects related to the launch and growth of Anywhere Active as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Direct experience in the fitness or wellness industry as an instructor, studio operator, fitness coordinator, or in an adjacent role
- Experience delivering virtual programming or virtual presentations, ideally with diverse or aging populations
- Digitally fluent: comfortable navigating a range of tools and platforms in the digital workspace and willing to adopt new technologies to work smarter and scale impact
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including comfort producing live virtual events.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage many moving pieces without anything slipping through the cracks
- Self-directed and comfortable working independently from a home office
- Adaptable problem-solver with strong active listening skills and the ability to build rapport with people inside and outside the organization
