Outreach is important; it helps families and professionals become more involved in Missouri’s system of childhood services, including early learning and afterschool programs. What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary web maintainer and point of contact for the Office of Childhood.
- Maintain the overall appearance and technical functions of the department’s public-facing websites.
- Complete website updates in an accurate and timely manner, including but not limited to adding/editing/removing content, troubleshooting errors, maintaining quality control, and ensuring content meets the necessary requirements per the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
- Collaborate with the Communications team to review, track, and maintain web analytics and related data.
- Primary accessibility staff. Ensure all publications and web content meet DESE Communication ADA accessibility guidelines; provide training and technical assistance to staff as needed.
- Develop surveys and manage systems for data collection, tracking, and storage.

All You Need For Success
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in communications, public relations, journalism, web design and development, or a closely related field.
OR
- Four or more years of experience in experience successfully performing progressively responsible tasks, including website content management and related accessibility requirements.
