This position is with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Office of Communications, and will be located at the
Lewis & Clark State Office building at 1101 Riverside Drive, Jefferson City, MO 65101.

You will collaborate with the communications team to create eye-catching and effective deliverables that help demonstrate the department’s mission, values and key messages.
- Gather, compile, and verify information; compose and edit copy for newsletters, brochures, webpages, social media, fact sheets and other publications.
- Prepare and disseminate informational materials to support and promote services of the agency.
- Prepare news releases to inform and educate the public concerning agency programs and services.
- Work within a committee to plan annual activities for special events, such as Earth Day and Missouri State Fair.
- Research material and prepare speaking points for agency officials.
- Update or create webpages in Drupal and WordPress.
- Perform other related work as assigned.

Equivalent To Those Typically Gained By
- Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)

- Must maintain a current, valid driver license.
- Knowledge of AP style is preferred.
- Knowledge of 508 Accessibility Compliance is preferred.
- Knowledge of news media operations and relations is preferred.
- Knowledge of web management programs, such as Drupal, WordPress, etc. is preferred.
