Description
The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the Marketing Director with a wide range of administrative and marketing support duties related to the daily operations of the marketing department, including but not limited to: managing company social media, planning trade shows and other industry events, designing, creating and distributing marketing collateral, publishing a company newsletter, using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database, and conducting market research as needed.
Social Media
Essential Tasks and Responsibilities
- Research audience preferences and discover current trends.
- Create engaging text, image and video content.
- Design posts to sustain readers’ curiosity and create buzz around new products.
- Measure web traffic and monitor SEO.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness.
- Report on online reviews and feedback from customers and fans.
- Develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics.
- Train co-workers to use social media in a cohesive and beneficial way.
Marketing Support
- Assist with coordinating travel for key employees.
- Plan meetings, events and tradeshows by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements as well as event coordination, scheduling and travel.
- Input, maintain and report on customer data in the CRM.
- Conduct and analyze market research.
- Attend key conferences/trade shows/industry events and manage booth, answer questions and coordinate details during the event.
Creative Design
- Ability to work autonomously and to collaborate fully as a team player.
- Support the sales team by providing innovative marketing collateral.
- Assist with writing and delivering press releases.
- Write, design and maintain content for company newsletters and company website.
- Assist with the development and implementation of key marketing projects.
- Prepare and assist with the development of marketing collateral and presentations.
- Ability to pay close attention to details, and present good planning, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance as per work schedule agreed with manager (may require working an adjusted work schedule based on project assigned and work overtime if warranted).
- Ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations and Company policies and procedures.
Job Requirements
- Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint
- Proficient with Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Self-starter, confident, energetic, creative and innovative
- Ability to work in a team and take direction
- Strong and Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent copywriting skills, including ability to write reports, business correspondence and presentations

- Sound understanding of the principals of marketing
- Strong understanding of new technologies and how they can be applied to marketing
- Ability to perform multiple tasks under pressure with simultaneous deadlines

Work Environments and Physical Demands
- Spends 90% of the time in an office environment and 10% travel to company marketing events.
- Required to sit, use hands to finger handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch.
- Occasionally life and or move up to 25 pounds.
