Job Description
This role is responsible for the development and implementation of email marketing programs and strategies to support business line goals. This includes email campaign strategy, audience segmentation, content optimization, testing, and performance analysis. Delivers measurable, customer-centric email programs to maximize customer growth, retention, engagement, and overall business outcomes. Evaluates and measures campaign results to optimize performance and investment.
Works closely with Email Campaign Managers, Product Marketers, agencies, and cross-functional teams to develop and execute email communications that are branded, compliant, and aligned with business objectives. Collaborate with internal partners to ensure all email marketing programs are conducted in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and bank policies.
Facilitates ongoing strategy discussions with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for continuous improvement across email communications. Provides consultation on campaign strategy, develops and evaluates test plans, analyzes campaign performance, and delivers actionable recommendations to achieve business line goals and improve customer experience.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Six or more years of related experience in marketing and marketing strategy with proven ability to deliver results
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in email marketing, lifecycle marketing, or customer communications strategy.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and team building skills
- Experience developing and executing email marketing strategies that drive customer engagement and business outcomes.
- Strong understanding of email best practices, including deliverability, content optimization, segmentation, personalization, and customer journey design.
- Experience designing A/B and multivariate tests, evaluating results, and translating insights into actionable recommendations.
- Proven ability to analyze campaign performance data and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience partnering with multiple business lines and influencing stakeholders through strategic consultation and recommendations.
- Strong knowledge of email accessibility standards and best practices.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-management skills.
- Experience working within a regulated industry, such as financial services, banking, insurance, healthcare, or telecommunications, with an understanding of compliance and risk considerations related to customer communications.
Additional Skills
- Experience with Enterprise Marketing Automation Platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign, Marketo, or similar platforms
- Experience developing customer lifecycles, nurture, or retention strategies.
- Knowledge of customer experience (CX) principles and journey mapping methodologies.
- Familiarity creating governance frameworks, best-practice standards, and educational programs for marketing teams.
- Understanding email performance metrics, attribution methodologies, and testing frameworks.
Location Expectations
This role is hybrid. Team members who are in a hybrid role typically spend three days a week at the listed U.S. Bank location(s), while having flexibility on their work location for the other working days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $92,820.00 - $109,200.00
