Natick Community Services- Council on Aging & Human Services Program
Assistant We are looking for a Program Assistant with excellent
technical, organizational and attention-to-detail skills to join our
team. Our ideal candidate will be able to engage easily with older
adults and be responsible for assisting with the planning, coordination
and delivery of social, recreational, wellness and special events. Work
schedule: Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a
30-minute unpaid lunch break. Total work hours are up to 25 per week.
Compensation: Starting pay is \$23.00 to \$24.00 per hour depending on
experience and qualifications. Essential Functions: Help develop and
implement a variety of activities and programs; social, educational,
recreational, arts/crafts, wellness, and special events. Facilitate
hybrid programs on zoom and other online platforms. Enter data into the
registration software system. Assist in scheduling, organizing, and
facilitating classes or events. Support Instructors/Volunteers
delivering programs, including helping with set up/breakdown of events.
Assist with bi-monthly luncheons including set up, serving, clean up and
interacting with participants. Accept and consider program feedback,
comments and ideas from participants. Monitor programs held off site, as
needed. Answer phone calls and inquiries from vendors, instructors and
participants. Provide support for program activities, such as preparing
materials and resources. Gather feedback from participants in a variety
of ways. Perform industry research to stay up-to-date with best
practices and inform the development and enhancement of programs.
Maintain accurate records, attendance, program registration, sign in
sheets, supply inventories and event documentation. Other duties as
needed to run programs. Education and Experience: or any equivalent
combination of education, training and experience which provides the
Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities To Perform The Essential
functions of the job. Associates Degree and two years of experience in
assisting with the planning, organizing and implementation of programs
or events. Special Requirements: CPR and First Aid certified, or ability
to obtain within 3 months of hire. Must be able to pass a CORI Check.
