What You'll Do:
As the Marketing & Communications Manager, you'll be responsible for the development and execution of a comprehensive, multi-channel communications strategy that advances the mission and strategic priorities of the FFA. The Marketing & Communications Manager serves as the central steward of the FFA’s brand, voice, and messaging, while collaborating with internal team members and external industry constituents to ensure events, programs, and communications are consistently delivered and aligned with the association’s mission.
Your Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy, aligned with organizational goals, objectives, and strategic direction.
- Establish and maintain a consistent tone, messaging, and brand narrative across all communications, ensuring alignment across affinity groups, regions, events, and channels.
- Work with Marketing & Events team members to develop communication timelines for individual FFA and WFF events to provide clear and consistent messaging and drive event participation, in coordination with the association’s overall communications strategy.
- Act as the central point for drafting, editing and approving key materials, including event descriptions, sponsor collateral, and external communications – ensuring clarity, consistency, and quality. Maintain and ensure adherence to brand standards and communications guidelines.
- Manage production and delivery of key channels including the FFA newsletter, podcasts, and social content (LinkedIn) – ensuring regular, engaging, and relevant output.
- Manage and support thought leadership initiatives to position FFA as a leading voice in fund finance globally. Work closely with internal teams, committees, and external partners to ensure messaging is consistent, timely, and aligned with broader strategic objectives.
- Work with the Board of Directors and CMO to manage Industry Insights Survey process and communications.
- Maintain and update the FFA website’s Industry News section to ensure content remains current, well organized, and aligns with the association’s priorities. Monitor industry developments and the FFA’s initiatives to identify timely and relevant content for inclusion.
- Work with the COO to develop and manage an industry job opportunities board; including strategy, structure, revenue model (when applicable), and marketing plan. Build and maintain relationships with industry contacts to source and promote opportunities and help establish a scalable process to support program growth and sustainability.
- Support other marketing initiatives and manage special projects, as needed.

Your Knowledge, Critical Skills, Qualifications Should Include:

- 7 – 10 years of relevant work experience in marketing, communications, or public relations
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred, with a concentration in Marketing or Communications desirable
- Experience in fund finance or banking/legal industries strongly preferred
- Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects simultaneously, while meeting deadlines with frequent interruptions and competing priorities
- Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong editing skills, attention to detail, and level of accuracy
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter, as well as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, and social media (LinkedIn)
- Asana and HubSpot experience strongly preferred
