Our client, a leading organization in the industry, is seeking a Employee Communications Coordinator to join their team. As a Employee Communications Coordinator, you will be part of the Employee Communications team supporting internal communication initiatives. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing skills, strong organizational abilities, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
About the Role
The Employee Communications Coordinator will be a temporary employee communications support resource for a full-time, six-month assignment during a high-volume communications period. This role keeps the communications channels running and content moving on schedule, working in partnership with an Employee Communications specialist focused on strategy and content.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, format, proof, schedule, and publish approved content across core channels, including the employee newsletter, all-employee email, and the intranet, using established templates and standards.
- Run the shared editorial calendar, tracking submission, review, and publishing deadlines, routing items for review, following up on outstanding inputs, and flagging timing conflicts and communications overload early.
- Take in content and requests from the communications team and other contributors through a standard intake process, and keep everyone aligned on what is scheduled and when.
- Maintain distribution lists, audience segments, and channel settings so messages reach the right audiences.
- Draft and edit routine content, such as short newsletter items, intranet updates, and reminders, from existing templates and guidance.
- Pull, organize, and format communications performance data, such as open, click, and read rates, for the team's reporting.
- Create and maintain reusable templates, checklists, and toolkits that keep production consistent.
- Review content for accuracy, formatting, consistency, and alignment with established voice and brand standards.
- Provide general production and project-coordination support across employee communications priorities.

Required Skills
- Demonstrated experience producing communications in a professional environment. Experience in employee or internal communications, HR communications, marketing, journalism, public relations or a related field is preferred.
- Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills, with the ability to make routine content clear, concise and employee-friendly.
- High attention to detail and comfort following established templates, processes, brand standards and voice guidance.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to track multiple deadlines, follow through on assigned work and keep routine production moving.
- Experience working in Microsoft 365 tools, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint or similar platforms.
- Ability to take direction, ask good questions, manage assigned tasks independently and communicate status, risks and outstanding needs clearly.
- Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential, sensitive or pre-decisional employee and business information.
- Experience with employee newsletters, intranet content, email publishing, audience lists or basic communications reporting is a plus.
- Familiarity with or interest in using generative AI tools is a plus, especially for first-pass drafting, editing, summarizing and content organization while following company guidance, confidentiality expectations and required review processes.

Pay Rate: $50/hr. Shift: Monday - Friday: 8 am - 5 pm
