Role Description
As we partner with Google and Samsung on smart eyewear, we’re also thinking about where the digital world is headed. We’re looking for someone with a strong creative and brand-focused background to bring fresh ideas and take ownership of our newsletter and editorial channels. to reshape the world of Email/SMS marketing. We are seeking a Retention & Email Marketing Manager to lead how the brand communicates with its customers across Email, SMS, loyalty, and offline experiences in the U.S&Canada Market.
In this role, you will run our owned channels the way an editor runs a publication — with a clear point of view, a consistent voice, and a calendar built around stories worth telling. Email and SMS become the brand's own newsletter channel: where customers stay connected to new collections, brand stories, campaigns, and experiences. You will lead the editorial direction and execution of the email channel in partnership with global HQ and external agencies, build our loyalty program, and design experiences that connect our digital communication with our retail spaces.
You will report to the Head of E-Commerce and work closely with the global CRM and creative teams at HQ, translating the brand's global direction into a locally relevant customer experience.
This role is well suited to someone with a brand-focused editorial, content, or creative background — a former editor, content lead, or newsletter builder who has developed expertise in customer engagement and retention — someone equally comfortable shaping an editorial concept, structuring a membership program, and reviewing performance results.
The scope of this position covers the U.S. and Canada markets.
Key Responsibilities
Email & SMS Marketing
- Lead the editorial direction, planning, and execution of the Email and SMS channel in collaboration with global HQ and external email and creative agencies — from concept development through implementation.
- Build and manage the editorial calendar for Email and SMS — translating collection launches, campaigns, cultural moments, store activations, and exclusive access into the channel — maintaining a cohesive narrative across every send, the way a publication maintains its voice issue to issue.
- Brief agencies and creative teams with clear intent; review concepts, copy, and design to ensure every communication meets the standard of a luxury brand.
- Oversee lifecycle journeys (welcome, post-purchase, win-back) and evolve them so each touchpoint feels considered, personal, and on-brand.
Loyalty Program Development
- Design and build a brand-focused loyalty program for the U.S. and Canada market, developed around access, recognition, and experience.
- Define the membership experience for a luxury customer — early access, private previews, in-store privileges, and community moments — in alignment with the brand's global positioning.
- Partner with HQ, retail, and e-commerce teams to launch and operate the program across all customer touchpoints.
Connecting Online & Offline Experiences Through Email/SMS Marketing
- Develop retention initiatives that bridge digital and physical — store events supported by owned-channel communication, in-store experiences that extend into email and SMS, and campaigns that bring our retail spaces into the customer relationship.
- Collaborate with retail teams to ensure the customer experience feels continuous across channels, from inbox to flagship.
- Identify and develop new communication channels and formats — messaging platforms, community engagement, experiential touchpoints — that strengthen the brand's direct relationship with customers.
Agency & HQ Collaboration
- Manage external email marketing and creative agencies end to end: briefing, creative review, scheduling, and execution quality control.
- Work with the global CRM team at HQ to adapt global frameworks and creative direction into locally relevant customer journeys for the U.S. and Canada.
- Oversee campaign deployment across platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Klaviyo, and Attentive.
Performance & Insights
- Track core channel and retention metrics — engagement, repeat purchase, list growth — and apply learnings to strengthen creative and program decisions.
- Share regular performance insights and recommendations with the Head of E-Commerce and the HQ CRM team.
Qualifications
- Completed Bachelor's degree required
- 3–6 years of experience in editorial, content, or creative marketing roles with a brand-focused sensibility — experience within luxury, fashion, beauty, lifestyle, or media brands strongly preferred.
- Experience running an owned content channel — a newsletter, editorial email program, digital publication, or brand content platform — with responsibility for its voice, calendar, and audience growth.
- Strong editorial sensibility and taste, with a track record of brand-focused email, newsletter, or content work.
- Experience briefing and managing external creative or email marketing agencies, with high standards for output quality.
- Experience building or contributing to loyalty, membership, or community programs.
- Working knowledge of email and retention metrics, with the ability to interpret results and apply them to planning.
- Experience collaborating with global teams or headquarters, and the ability to adapt a global brand voice for a local market.
- Interest in omnichannel customer experiences that connect digital communication with physical retail.
- Familiarity with marketing platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Klaviyo, or Attentive is required.
