About Gold House
Gold House is a cultural platform where culture shapes global opportunity.
We sit at the intersection of entertainment, entrepreneurship, and cultural advocacy, reshaping society through a multi-pillar ecosystem: Entertainment (cultural consulting, marketing, and promotions); investment funds like Gold House Ventures (technology) and Gold House Studios (original productions); accelerating the next generation through Futures; and mainstream cultural change (Gold100, Gold Gala, cultural holidays, media networks, and more). Our work has earned global recognition across mainstream society, while our community includes the most influential creators, founders, and executives across industries worldwide.
We are an ambitious, lean, world-class team devoted to making history and shattering ceilings — and we are growing. If you are excited to define the next wave of culture that brings us all closer, we’d love to meet you.
The Opportunity
Gold House is hiring a Director of Content Marketing to own and advance our content engine. This is a senior, highly cross-functional role that will define how Gold House tells its story — across platforms, formats, and audiences — throughout the full year. You will develop and execute our editorial and campaign calendar, lead storytelling across all of our pillars, and build a content pipeline that expands our reach beyond the Asian Pacific community into mainstream culture, entertainment, and business media.
The right person for this role brings both editorial instincts and marketing fluency. You understand what makes a story resonate, how to package and distribute it across channels, and how to build an audience over time — not just capture a moment. You'll work closely with our social and vertical teams, and serve as a key creative partner to leadership.
What You'll Do
Editorial & Content Strategy
- Own and manage Gold House's annual editorial and campaign calendar, ensuring cohesive, timely, and compelling content across all pillars, including Gold100, Gold Gala, Film & TV and Music partnerships, Gold House Studio productions, Futures programming, key industry moments (Oscars, Emmys, Grammys) and cultural holiday campaigns (Lunar New Year, Diwali, and many more)
- Develop a strategic content framework that serves multiple audiences — from the Asian Pacific community to mainstream culture, entertainment, and business enthusiasts
- Build and maintain a rolling content pipeline: evergreen programming, cultural moments, campaign arcs, timely news-driven stories, and stories across the Gold House community
- Serve as editorial lead and steward Gold House's brand voice, tone, and editorial standards across all owned channels
Audience Growth & Performance
- Set content KPIs and regularly report on performance — audience growth, engagement, traffic, and share of voice
- Use data and audience insights to iterate on content strategy and identify new opportunities for reach and engagement
Content Production & Formats
- Oversee production across multiple content formats including long-form editorial, video, newsletters, branded content, event coverage, and digital campaigns, including budget, timelines, and deliverables
- Oversee the development of compelling written, visual, and multimedia storytelling that reflects Gold House's aesthetic and mission
- Manage editorial workflows, production timelines, and vendor/freelancer relationships (writers, editors, videographers, photographers, illustrators)
- Ensure high-quality content output that is consistently on-brand, on-time, and optimized for its channel
Channel Collaboration
- Partner closely with the social team to develop platform-native content strategies that extend editorial themes and maximize reach on Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and beyond
- Work with partnerships and social team to generate content ideas and align on deliverables
- Align content with PR/communications efforts, ensuring earned and owned media work in concert
- Collaborate with creative teams to produce visuals, motion graphics, and branded assets that elevate storytelling
- Develop and manage email newsletter strategy and execution
What We're Looking For
Experience & Background
- 10+ years of experience in editorial, content strategy, and/or content marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing a team
- Background at a media company, lifestyle publication, entertainment brand or platform, with a strong understanding of how content powers brand growth and cultural resonance
- Demonstrated track record of building content programs from the ground up or significantly scaling them
- Experience managing editorial calendars across multiple content verticals and formats simultaneously
- Proven ability to develop, manage, and grow an audience across owned and social channels
Skills & Competencies
- Exceptional writer and editor with strong headline instincts and a sophisticated sense of brand voice
- Deep fluency across content formats: editorial, video, social-native, newsletters, branded content, experiential coverage
- Collaborative operator who can work cross-functionally with social, creative, PR, partnerships, and leadership teams
- Organized and process-minded, with the ability to run multiple workstreams and projects simultaneously without losing quality
- Data-informed — you know how to read content performance and translate it into strategy adjustments
- Familiarity with content management tools, project management platforms, and analytics dashboards (e.g., Asana, Google Analytics, Brandwatch, Sprout Social or equivalents)
Cultural Fluency
- Genuine passion for and/or familiarity with Asian Pacific culture, communities, and representation — and the ability to tell those stories with nuance and authenticity
- Strong pulse on mainstream entertainment, business, and cultural media — you know what a breakthrough story looks like and how to engineer one
- Understanding of how to bridge community and mainstream audiences without losing either
Nice to Have
- Portfolio preferred
- Experience in entertainment, film/TV, or publishing
- Familiarity with mission-driven brand storytelling
- Experience building or managing a branded content studio or production function
- Prior work with awards campaigns, cultural franchises, or list-based editorial properties
- Existing relationships with editors, journalists, or content creators in culture, entertainment, or business media
Compensation & Benefits
- The base salary range for this role is $125,000 - $160,000 annually, commensurate with experience, plus eligibility for a performance-based bonus.
- Health, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits
- Opportunity to participate in Gold House programs and experiences
- Opportunity to define the trajectory of a mission-driven, fast-growing, mainstream-impactful organization
About the Team
You will be joining a lean, entrepreneurial marketing team that works across Gold House's full portfolio of programs and initiatives. This is a hands-on leadership role — you will be both a strategic thinker and a builder. You'll have the freedom to shape a content function that doesn't yet exist in its full form, and the support of a passionate, mission-driven team behind you. We move fast, care deeply about craft, and hold our creative work to a high standard.
Gold House is committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. We strongly encourage candidates from all communities to apply.
