Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client, a growing consumer brand in Chicago, for an Email Marketing Associate to help build and execute campaigns that drive engagement and revenue. This is a great opportunity for a marketer who loves the mix of creativity and data, and wants to grow their career inside a fast-moving marketing team.
Day to day, you will be deep in the email platform building campaigns, setting up automations, and digging into performance metrics to figure out what is working and what needs to change. The best fit is someone detail-oriented and curious, comfortable juggling multiple campaigns at once, and excited to test new subject lines, send times, and segments to keep improving results.
Responsibilities
- Build, schedule, and QA email campaigns from brief to send
- Develop and optimize automated email flows such as welcome series and abandoned cart
- Segment subscriber lists based on behavior and lifecycle stage
- Write and edit email copy in partnership with the content team
- Monitor open rates, click rates, and conversion metrics and report on performance
- Run A/B tests on subject lines, layouts, and calls to action
- Maintain email calendar and coordinate with design and marketing teams on timelines
- Ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM and email deliverability best practices
- Manage subscriber list hygiene and growth initiatives
- Support reporting and analysis for monthly marketing reviews
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of experience in email or digital marketing
- Experience with an email service provider such as Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or HubSpot
- Familiarity with HTML and CSS for email templates a plus
- Strong writing and proofreading skills
- Comfort working with data and basic analytics tools such as Google Analytics
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field preferred
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership over campaign quality
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to take feedback from cross-functional teams
