Clinical Education Associate

Summary: The Clinical Education Associate is responsible for supporting a wide range of projects undertaken by the Clinical Education and Awareness and Marketing teams. This includes, but is not limited to, the drafting and development of clinical education resources and marketing tools, support for semi-annual group meetings, staff training programs, and deliverables for externally-funded projects.
Responsibilities:
Supports the Clinical Education and Marketing teams with all projects and activities, performing all duties in accordance with Good Clinical Practice, SOPs, and FDA/NCI regulations
Participates in all aspects of the development of clinical site staff and patient education resources including promotional materials (drafting, editing, and fact-checking) for ongoing clinical trials and deliverables as directed for special and grant-funded projects
Reviews and revises clinical education materials to ensure alignment and consistency with grant/program requirements and secures necessary approvals from the applicable National Cancer Institute review entities
Evaluates/tracks study accrual needs (and the history of study-specific activities) and devises solutions to help address any barriers
Interfaces (routinely serving as a liaison, and responsible for maintaining a positive interaction) between study chair, protocol development, research staff, project management, patient advocates, vendors and other external support personnel
Drafts timely email communication to sites regarding important study updates; routinely assist with study-specific newsletter review/content development
Develops and distributes study-related surveys in consultation with study teams and dissemination of results
Coordinates projects related to patient advocacy initiatives
Administers site staff–directed protocol information/training items and informational webinars
Provides support for clinical education and marketing efforts at semi-annual group meetings and serves as a liaison for key educational sessions
Assists with developing and updating content for Coalition and websites
Participates in required meetings and teleconferences, and prepares required reports and/or meeting notes
Performs other duties as assigned
Experience
Three to five (3-5) years minimum of work experience in an education or training–related role in an oncology, clinical research, or healthcare setting
Experience working with publications and developing other educational resources for oncology/healthcare professionals and patients/advocates
Education
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education or equivalent professional experience
SOCRA certification a plus
