Location: Fort Collins, Colorado
Work Environment: Full-time, in-person, in-office
Compensation: $43,000–$53,000 annual base salary, plus tiered revenue share tied to client growth, retention, profitability and campaign performance.
Experience: 3+ years of relevant professional experience; agency experience strongly preferred
The Creative Agency is a full-service marketing and advertising firm that works as an integrated external marketing department for growing brands. Our work brings strategy, brand identity, design, social media, email marketing, website development, photography, video and performance insights together under one roof. We serve clients across consumer, e-commerce, professional services, hospitality, entertainment, arts and B2B industries.
Our clients trust us to understand their businesses, protect their brands, recognize opportunities and create marketing that contributes to meaningful growth. The work must be thoughtful, current, visually strong and commercially useful.
This is a hands-on agency role for an experienced marketer who can take strategic direction and turn it into strong, timely and effective execution. You will plan campaigns, build content calendars, write copy, produce emails, manage Instagram communities, coordinate creative assets and use performance data to improve results.
We are looking for someone who understands what is changing across social media and email, why certain content performs and how to apply that knowledge without diluting the brand. You must be able to think critically, write well, manage competing priorities and take responsibility for the quality and performance of your accounts. You should recognize what needs to happen next without waiting to be told.
Responsibilities
- Develop, design and manage strategic content calendars based on each client’s goals, audience, brand voice, campaigns and business priorities.
- Write captions, hooks, calls to action, campaign messaging and platform-specific copy.
- Schedule, publish and quality-check content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube Shorts and other relevant platforms.
- Adapt content for the audience and behavior of each platform rather than duplicating the same post everywhere.
- Identify opportunities for recurring content series, brand storytelling, thought leadership, audience engagement and campaign development.
- Monitor platform updates, social search behavior, emerging formats, creator trends and shifts in audience expectations.
- Recommend new ideas that help client accounts remain relevant, distinctive and effective.
- Maintain strong attention to detail across copy, links, tags, formatting, publishing dates and brand consistency.
- Manage Instagram communities for assigned client accounts.
- Monitor and respond to comments, direct messages, mentions, tags and audience conversations.
- Engage proactively with relevant followers, customers, partners, creators and community members.
- Build relationships through thoughtful, brand-appropriate interaction rather than generic or automated responses.
- Identify customer questions, sales opportunities, user-generated content, partnership opportunities and potential reputation concerns.
- Escalate sensitive, complex or time-sensitive issues appropriately.
- Help clients build communities that feel active, responsive and genuinely connected to the brand.
- Plan, write, design, build and deploy email marketing campaigns.
- Develop newsletters, promotional campaigns, launch sequences, event communications, nurture content and retention-focused initiatives.
- Write compelling subject lines, preview text, email copy and calls to action.
- Coordinate email campaigns with social media, website content, promotions, launches and broader marketing priorities.
- Manage audience segmentation, list organization, campaign testing and quality assurance.
- Support the development and improvement of automated email flows and customer journeys.
- Review open rates, click rates, conversions, unsubscribes, list growth and other relevant performance indicators.
- Recommend improvements to campaign timing, messaging, segmentation, design and conversion strategy.
- Identify opportunities to make email marketing more personalized, relevant and valuable to the audience.
- Translate strategic direction into organized, actionable social media and email campaigns.
- Define campaign objectives, audiences, messaging angles, calls to action and asset requirements.
- Create clear briefs and visual direction for designers, photographers and video producers.
- Collaborate with internal creative teams to plan and produce the content required for each campaign.
- Review graphics, photography, video, captions and email designs for quality, accuracy and brand alignment.
- Maintain campaign timelines, approval processes, content needs and publishing schedules.
- Anticipate potential delays, missing assets or communication gaps and address them before they affect delivery.
- Ensure work is thoughtful, complete and ready for review before it moves forward.
- Monitor social media and email performance across assigned accounts.
- Track relevant metrics, including reach, engagement, community growth, website traffic, leads, conversions, email performance and audience retention.
- Translate data into clear insights and practical recommendations.
- Identify what is working, what is underperforming and what should be tested next.
- Bring forward new campaign ideas, formats, community-building initiatives and email concepts.
- Stay informed about platform changes, algorithm updates, social search, audience behavior and email marketing best practices.
Required Experience
- At least three years of professional experience in social media management, email marketing, digital marketing, content marketing or a closely related field.
- Experience managing social media or email marketing for multiple brands, businesses or client accounts.
- Strong working knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube Shorts and short-form social content.
- Experience planning and executing email campaigns, newsletters, promotional campaigns, nurture sequences or automated flows.
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
- Ability to write in distinct brand voices across different industries and audiences.
- Strong understanding of storytelling, hooks, calls to action, campaign messaging and audience behavior.
- Experience creating and maintaining social media and email marketing calendars.
- Demonstrated awareness of current platform trends, visual styles, creator formats and content behavior.
- Ability to evaluate trends critically and determine whether they are relevant to a brand.
- Experience reviewing analytics and using performance data to improve future work.

- Experience collaborating with designers, photographers, video producers, web developers or other creative professionals.
