This is a hybrid position with in-office work conducted at desk chair workspace in Loveland, CO (mostly Tues-Thurs). This position requires in-person community engagement all around Northern Colorado with a flexible work schedule, including some nights and weekends. This role supports the sales, editorial and creative departments.
Mountain Media Group (MMG) is home to NOCO Style, Northern Colorado’s leading lifestyle publication, along with a growing portfolio of events, digital platforms and community partnerships.

We work with hundreds of local businesses, nonprofit organizations, community leaders and individuals throughout Northern Colorado to create meaningful content, events and marketing opportunities.
We are looking for a Communications and Community Engagement Coordinator who is organized, outgoing, creative, responsible, detail oriented and ready to jump in. This person will play an important role in keeping projects moving, communicating with business partners, supporting our marketing and editorial efforts and representing NOCO Style at events throughout the community.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for (but not limited to):
Community Engagement & Events
• Manage magazine booths and distribution at sponsored events
• Plan, execute and attend monthly NOCO Style Happy Hours
• Monitor ticket sales and communicate with event hosts about promotional efforts when additional marketing is needed
• Coordinate event logistics, such as giveaways, vendors, sponsors, setup and teardown
• Support major events, including the Best of NOCO Celebration, Summer Bash and additional MMG events
• Communicate clearly and consistently with business owners, event partners, event vendors, community members, advertisers and internal team members for monthly happy hours and larger events
• Attend networking events throughout Northern Colorado to promote NOCO Style’s upcoming events, magazine issues, contests and more
Communications & Project Management
• Manage email outreach and community communication promptly
• Coordinate external marketing efforts such as radio and billboard spots, sponsorships and collaborations
• Respond to reader messages and nurture relationships with businesses and individuals featured in the magazine
• Manage multiple ongoing projects simultaneously, keeping track of deadlines, next steps, outstanding tasks and follow-ups
Editorial & Magazine Support
• Gather content/conduct outreach for NOCO Style’s pre- and post-event coverage section, About Town (event info, attendee names, business affiliations, captions), and edit using AP Style guidelines
• Source, edit and post approximately 2-3 press releases per day to NOCO Style's website using AP Style guidelines
• Photography coordination, scheduling headshots and getting photos and content at events
Graphic Design & Digital Support
• Create graphics and marketing materials in Canva or Adobe Creative Suite when needed for things such as monthly contests, happy hour events and email newsletters
• Design polished, on-brand website banners from scratch, which may involve pulling appropriate logos, photography, colors and information from a business's website
• Assist with the creation of social media graphics, email graphics and other marketing materials
• Newsletter and email creation, including The Scoop, sales blasts, happy hour invites and other announcements
Contest & Promotion Management
• Sponsor outreach for monthly contests, sweepstakes and giveaways
• Coordinate prizes and logistics with local partners
• Communicate with winners and promote contest visibility
Operations Support
• Redistribute magazines mid-month to selected racks around Northern Colorado
• Assist with mailings and occasional errands (picking up gift cards, giveaways, plaques, etc.)
• Provide general marketing support as needed
• Maintain merch store

Qualifications & Experience
• Approximately 3-5 years of professional experience preferred in communications, marketing, public relations, events, publishing, media or a related field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and project-management skills
• Experience managing multiple projects, deadlines and relationships simultaneously
• Experience with Canva required; Adobe Creative Suite experience a plus
• Experience with Mailchimp preferred
• Experience with WordPress preferred
• Experience with Asana or similar project-management software preferred
• Experience with Humanitix or similar event/ticketing platforms preferred
• Experience with AP Style preferred
• Graphic design and content creation experience preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
• Ability and willingness to attend evening and weekend events with advance notice
