Description
Denver Angels is looking for a marketing intern to work with our marketing team for at least a year. Marketing Interns work directly with the Marketing Lead as well as a number of other DAM teams and partners. This is an excellent opportunity for a rising college student with an interest in marketing to get a 360-degree perspective on the venture world, tech startups, and the work that goes into building and maintaining a brand. You’ll work on social media campaigns, email campaigns, our newsletter, event marketing, as well as support on crafting branding assets.
The ideal candidate is a resourceful problem solver, skilled writer, handy designer (Canva is great), someone who pays close attention to details, and an excellent project manager.
About the role - specific responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Produce web content: writing, editing, uploading, and creating/coordinating art
- Support ideation and execution for email campaigns (Hubspot)
- Support ideation and execution for social media campaigns
- Create marketing materials such as one-pagers, infographics, and branding guidelines. (Canva)
- Project management: keep track of marketing calendar and create marketing assets well in advance of deadlines.
About you:
- Verbally and visually talented: You'll need to turn around clean copy and whip up quick visuals
- Excellent writer: You love to write. In this role you’ll be writing a lot- for social media, emails, branding assets. You love creating great copy, and are able to work with quick turn-arounds.
- Detail-Oriented: You care about the details, whether that is keeping the right formatting in an email, or making sure we are keeping to our marketing calendar. No detail is too small.
- Self-starting & Strong Follow Through: You are resourceful, passionate about ownership, comfortable with ambiguity, willing to hustle, and a strong project manager.
- Communicative. Empathetic. Enthusiastic.
- Looking for résumé-building experience in marketing and interested in investing and the world of startups.
Term
The internship will run 12 months- thus we are looking for a candidate who is interested in a longer-term commitment.
Time Commitment
The time commitment per week will be approximately 10 hours/week. Schedules will be flexible to accommodate classes and exams.
Hybrid- Denver Area
This position will be mostly remote, and collaboration will be through Google Meetings and Slack. There will quarterly mandatory meetings in Denver, and other possible events, so we will only consider candidates who live in the general Denver area (within driving distance for in-person events).
Experience
A willingness to learn, a propensity for organization, and an enthusiasm to work are the determining criteria for the position. While familiarity with startup investing and understanding of marketing is a plus, we’ll judge the right fit based on organizational ability and enthusiasm to contribute.
Compensation
The position is not paid monetarily but compensated in experience, education, and school credit depending on your University and degree major.
