Email Marketing Specialist
The Email Marketing Specialist plays a key role in growing business by leading email marketing initiatives that strengthen customer engagement, retention, and revenue. This position owns the planning, execution, reporting, and optimization of promotional and automated email campaigns while using customer insights and marketing data to continually improve performance.
Working closely with the marketing team, this role also supports ecommerce marketing, promotional planning, and integrated digital campaigns to ensure a consistent customer experience across every digital touchpoint.
Key Responsibilities:
Email Marketing Strategy & Execution
- Own the email marketing calendar, including promotional campaigns, product launches, evergreen messaging, A/B testing, seasonal campaigns, and brand storytelling.
- Write and edit customer-facing email copy while maintaining DRI DUCK's brand voice.
- Build, schedule, test, and deploy email campaigns within Klaviyo and MailChimp.
- Coordinate creative requests, approvals, and project timelines using Wrike or other project management tools.
- Review email creative, copy, links, segmentation, promotional details, and rendering across devices to ensure quality and brand consistency.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to execute campaigns accurately and on schedule.
- Stay informed on email marketing best practices, customer engagement trends, and lifecycle marketing strategies.
Lifecycle Marketing & Customer Retention
- Manage and optimize automated customer journeys including welcome series, browse abandonment, cart abandonment, post-purchase, win-back, product education, and customer retention flows.
- Develop audience segmentation strategies based on customer behavior, purchase history, engagement, and other first-party data.
- Recommend personalization opportunities that improve customer experience and campaign performance.
- Monitor list health, deliverability, engagement, unsubscribe rates, and customer lifecycle metrics.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer retention, repeat purchases, and customer lifetime value.
Reporting, Analytics & Optimization
- Prepare and present monthly performance reports for email marketing initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators including open rate, click-through rate, conversion rate, revenue, list growth, deliverability, and customer retention.
- Identify trends, opportunities, and performance insights that improve future campaigns.
Cross-Channel Marketing Support and Operations
- Assist with promotional planning and campaign execution across email, website, paid media, and social media.
- Provide support across the marketing department during product launches, seasonal campaigns, and high-priority business initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, creative, ecommerce, customer experience, and agency partners to ensure successful campaign execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Two to four years of experience in email marketing, lifecycle marketing, CRM marketing, ecommerce marketing, or digital marketing.
- Hands-on experience using an email marketing platform such as Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar platforms.
- Experience building email campaigns and creating automated workflows within lifecycle marketing programs.
- Experience working with project management platforms and creative collaboration platforms such as Wrike, Monday.com, Figma or similar tools preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret marketing data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills while maintaining exception attention to detail.
