Good communication helps a business stay organized, share information effectively, and build strong relationships with the people it works with. We’re looking for a Communications Assistant in Nashville, TN to help coordinate day-to-day communications, prepare written materials, and ensure important information reaches the right people.
You’ll work across different tasks, from drafting updates and organizing communication records to supporting internal projects and helping keep messages clear and consistent. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys writing, working with people, and making sure the details behind effective communication don’t get overlooked.
A Typical Day
- Draft and proofread emails, announcements, updates, and general correspondence
- Help prepare presentations, communication documents, and promotional materials
- Coordinate information between departments and team members
- Maintain contact lists, communication records, and shared documentation
- Assist with newsletters, company updates, and internal announcements
- Monitor incoming enquiries and direct messages to the appropriate contacts
- Help organize communication schedules, meetings, and project deadlines
- Gather information from different teams to support written materials
- Review documents for accuracy, clarity, and consistency
- Support the preparation and distribution of company communications
- Follow up on outstanding information and requests
- Assist with wider marketing, communications, and administrative projects
Who We’re Looking For
You don’t need to have an extensive communications background to be considered. We’re interested in someone who can express ideas clearly, stay organized, and adapt their communication style to different audiences.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good spelling, grammar, and attention to detail
- Comfortable using email, word processing tools, and presentation software
- Able to organize information and manage competing deadlines
- Professional and confident when communicating with different people
- Willing to learn new systems, processes, and communication methods
- Reliable, proactive, and comfortable working independently or with a team
- Previous experience in communications, administration, marketing, customer service, sales, or reception is an asset
Training and guidance will be provided on internal communication processes, company standards, and the tools used by the team.
