The Organization
The American Oil & Gas Reporter is a highly-respected monthly trade journal that serves U.S.-based independent oil and gas producers (the companies that drill, hydraulically fracture, and manage wells to bring crude oil and natural gas to the surface). Our audience ranges from small, family-owned companies to private equity-backed independents and large, publicly-traded corporations. By publishing news and technical articles from across the United States in a single location, we help industry professionals improve their operations and make smart business decisions.
Why Apply?
We serve a complex industry that is constantly evolving as it refines proven technologies, discovers new reserves and navigates shifting geopolitics. That makes working at AOGR ideal for someone with a curious mind. Because energy touches almost every aspect of people’s lives, the work can be extremely satisfying.
We’re serious about getting facts right. In addition to doing everything we can internally to ensure our content is accurate, we send many of the articles we publish to our interview sources for review. That means our editors get feedback not just from their peers, but also from business executives, technical experts, and government relations professionals who have spent decades mastering the art of clear communication.
If you want to work for a publication that values accurate reporting and the human touch, AOGR’s Association Editor role will be a fantastic fit.
