On behalf of our fast-growing tech client in the real estate tech industry, we are seeking a
Website Support Specialist who will be the first point of contact for clients with questions about their WordPress websites. You will answer client questions, turn their update requests into clear tasks, and complete frontend website updates on your own. When a request needs more technical help, you will hand it off to a colleague or developer with clear, complete documentation.
What You'll Do
- Answer client questions about their WordPress websites by phone, email, text, and chat.
- Review client update requests, identify the specific action items, and confirm scope with the client when a request is unclear.
- Make frontend updates to client WordPress sites, such as text and page content changes, image swaps, layout adjustments, and basic HTML and CSS edits.
- Optimize photos and other media for fast page loads before adding them to a site.
- Review every update on desktop, tablet, and mobile to ensure pages display correctly across screen sizes.
- Escalate requests beyond basic frontend work to colleagues or developers, with clear documentation: what the client asked for, the affected pages or URLs, screenshots, steps to reproduce, and the expected result.
- Track open requests and follow up with clients until each one is resolved.
- Keep accurate notes on client accounts, requests, and changes made.
What You'll Bring:
- Hands-on experience with common web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and photo optimization, plus routine frontend website updates and maintenance.
- Experience with mobile-responsive websites and an understanding of how layouts are built for mobile viewports (breakpoints, media queries, flexible images and grids).
- A fundamental understanding of how APIs work, including how websites send and receive data from other systems.
- Clear, friendly communication with clients by phone, email, text, and chat, including non-technical clients.
- The ability to distill a client's request into actionable items and complete basic website updates independently.
- Strong attention to detail in documentation, especially when assigning work to or requesting help from colleagues and developers.
- Good organization and follow-through when handling several client requests at once.
Nice to Have:
- Experience updating and maintaining WordPress websites.
- Experience with WordPress page builders, themes, and plugins.
- Familiarity with basic SEO practices, such as site structure, internal linking, page titles, meta descriptions, image alt text, and page speed.
- Experience using a ticketing or help desk system to manage client requests.
- Experience with image editing tools for cropping, resizing, and compressing photos.
- Interest in real estate, especially rural, farm, ranch, or land properties.
