This is a Part-time, Social Media role of 20 hours a week. Mostly remote, but also some on-site time for shooting content and collaborations.
Responsibilities
The Social media manager will be responsible for posting short form videos twice a day on Instagram and Once a day on Tik Tok in order to gain a larger audience of followers, drive traffic to our website for SEO, and gain larger conversions on booked appointments. This will include reels, carousels of photos or aesthetic boards with trending audio, copy, filters, and trending hash tags.
The Social media manager will be responsible for planning and creating a weekly newsletter to our subscribers based on what’s trending, upcoming events, etc through MailChimp.
The Social media Manager will be expected to focus some efforts on Influencer collaborations across social media in the form of branded collabs, pop-up events, networking events, etc and should be able to bring one new opportunity a quarter.
The Social Media manager will be responsible for researching and staying up to date on Bridal Fashion trends and social media trends for the bridal fashion industry.
Social Media Manager must become knowledgeable on designers, gowns, and other products in the store to communicate and advertise our products across ALL social media channels.
The Social Media part-time hours on a weekly basis will consist of but may not be limited to:
- Onsite Collaboration discussions, calendar planning, and getting familiar with store products: 1-2 hrs/per week
- Calendar build out and submittal to management:2 hours per week
- Newsletter planning and Newsletter production: 1 hour per week
- Weekly posting- 14-21 posts a week across our social media platforms: 2 hours per week
- Editing/ drafting of content each week: 5-6 hours per week
- Researching Bridal industry trends each week across social media for new content ideas: 1-2 hours per week
- Shooting content on iPhone or camera bi-weekly (4 hours per month)
- Reaching out to Influencers on collaborations or seeking networking events relative to our industry and growing our business (1-2 hours per week)
- Pulling reports on growth insights/ analytics across platforms and sharing these insights with management. (1 hour per week)
Qualifications
1-2 years experience in working in Social Media, creating content, and working collaboratively in a team environment. Must be highly organized and detail oriented. Familiar with Mailchimp, Airtable, and social media posting platforms-Preferred. Must be located in Austin, TX.
