Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy & Execution
- Own and lead the firm-wide marketing strategy — from branding to conversion.
- Manage and evolve all digital platforms:
- Social Media (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook)
- Client Newsletter (open rate, click rate, segmentation)
- Run point on content and brand strategy for:
- Life, Money, and podcast
- Money Monday blog
- Dr. Dollar blog
- 10X Seminars
- Oversee SEO, lead gen funnels, and campaign performance.
- Strategize ways to make all content omni-channel (Repurposing Content for all channels
KPI Ownership
- Define and hit growth targets across:
- Email open/click-through rates
- Social media follower and engagement growth
- Podcast download benchmarks
- Blog traffic and conversion
- Attendance and lead gen from 10X seminars and live event.
City Office Support
- Collaborate with office leaders in Cincinnati, Chicago, SF, DC, Tampa, Detroit, NYC, and NJ to:
- Create city-specific growth and segmentation plans
- Strategize around local marketing and lead-gen
- Support vision and messaging for local events (but not manage logistics)
Strategic Leadership
- Work directly with the CEO on:
- National brand elevation
- New marketing channel development
- Strategic partnerships and PR opportunities
- Thought leadership across Northwestern Mutual
What You Bring:
- 7+ years in strategic marketing, preferably in finance, professional services, or a fast-growth environment
- Deep understanding of digital channels, analytics, and content strategy
- Track record of owning and executing across multiple marketing disciplines
- Executive presence and ability to influence without authority
- You’re a self-starter, a strategic thinker, and not afraid to get your hands dirty
- Strong writing and storytelling skills (bonus if you can ghostwrite or script thought leadership)
- Metrics-driven mindset — you love dashboards, benchmarks, and growth levers
- Bonus: experience working with high-performing teams or the Northwestern Mutual ecosystem
Compensation: Salary range is $90,000-$105,000 based on experience. Bonus opportunity is 5% of annual salary.
