As Development Director at Give Mentor Love Foundation (GML), you will play a vital role in leading and executing our comprehensive fundraising strategy. This dynamic position requires an organized, detail-oriented professional with 2-3 years of fundraising experience who can effectively manage donor relationships, maintain meticulous database records, and coordinate successful fundraising initiatives, including our ongoing Capital Campaign and Annual Gala. This is a performance based paid position.
Major Responsibilities
- Lead all fundraising efforts, working with Executive Director and CEO, staff, Development Committee and the Board to develop effective strategies for a comprehensive fundraising program in order to ensure that GML raises sufficient funds to meet its annual operating budget, capital, endowment needs of approximately $3,000,000 annually
- Develop and implement a comprehensive development plan for GML, including plans for annual, individual major and planned gifts, foundation, corporate support, monthly giving and events
- Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors to GML; manage a portfolio of up to 75-100 major gift prospects
- Establish, maintain, and periodically evaluate all development policies, procedures, structures, communications, and documents in accordance with best practices.
- Assist with GML marketing and communication efforts including the newsletter, publications, website, and social media
- Coordinate efforts for all events including the Annual Gala, Fun Funny Fundraiser, Back-to-School, Christmas Gift Giving, Back Packs of Love, and other donor engagement and stewardship events
- Ensure effective stewardship practices for the timely and accurate acknowledgment of all gifts, including the planning and execution of donor recognition events
- Represent GML to various constituencies in accord with the mission, vision, values, and future plans
- Collaborate in preparing the annual budget and manage the budget throughout the year
- Oversee the donor database, DonorPerfect, to ensure accurate reporting and capturing information to grow our outreach
- Organize and provide staff support to the Development Committee of the Board
- Support and guide social media platforms
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 2-3 years of fundraising or related nonprofit experience
- Proven experience with data management (Donor Perfect knowledge strongly preferred)
- Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency with Google Suite and digital communication platforms
- Experience supporting special events and donor stewardship activities
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
