Legend Biotech is seeking Manager of Compliance Excellence as part of the Compliance team based in Somerset, NJ.
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Manager of Compliance Excellence to support the coordination and execution of global and regional compliance projects. This role will serve as a strategic partner to the Global Chief Compliance Officer, combining high-level operational support with hands-on project and program management. This role will ensure timely delivery of initiatives aligned with the annual compliance work plan and support strategic operations and activities within the Global Compliance program. This role is responsible for supporting the development and execution of global and regional compliance initiatives, ensuring alignment with the annual compliance work plan, and fostering cross-functional collaboration. As Manager of Compliance Excellence, the position also manages the Compliance communication plan, including executive communications, functional strategic planning, and leadership coordination, enabling the compliance function to operate efficiently and with clear direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management & Coordination
- Lead project management for global and regional compliance initiatives from initiation to completion.
- Drive alignment across cross-functional teams, ensuring deliverables are met and dependencies managed.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and escalate issues as needed.
- Take ownership of project timelines and drive work streams and projects forward to meet deadlines and delivery dates
- Annual Compliance Work Plan
- Own the coordination and execution of the annual compliance work plan, ensuring alignment with global and regional priorities.
- Facilitate planning meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements, ensuring clear objectives and follow-through.
- Manage logistics, documentation, and follow-up actions related to work plan activities.
- Responsible for internal communications and updates on Compliance work plan performance
- Compliance Program Support
- Act as a strategic partner to the Global Chief Compliance Officer.
- Manage meeting preparation and post-meeting action tracking with minimal oversight.
- Monitor and track strategic initiatives, ensuring delivery against timelines and providing status updates to leadership.
- This position will be responsible for managing Compliance Communications including the quarterly newsletter, Compliance updates, and will support the Global Chief Compliance officer’s executive communications and Compliance Committee.
- Operates with a degree of autonomy in managing and supporting the execution of global and regional compliance initiatives.
- Empowered to make decisions related to project planning, resource coordination, and timeline management without requiring prior approval.
- Independently identify and escalate risks, propose mitigation strategies, and ensure alignment across cross-functional teams. Strategic decisions, budget allocations, and matters with significant organizational impact are made in consultation with the Global Chief Compliance Officer or other senior leadership.
Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Compliance, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in program or project management, preferably in compliance or a regulated industry.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with global teams and navigating cross-cultural environments.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of discretion and professionalism.
- Project Management & Data Tools: Proficient in Microsoft Excel for tracking compliance metrics and managing project data, combined with experience using project management platforms such as Smartsheet, Asana, or Microsoft Project to coordinate timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Presentation & Collaboration Platforms: Skilled in creating executive-level presentations and reports using Microsoft PowerPoint and Word, and adept at using collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams and SharePoint to facilitate communication, document sharing, and workflow management across global teams.
The anticipated base pay range is:: $107,482 USD - $141,070 USD
