Job Overview:
The Email Marketing Manager will support campaign and newsletter programs for both prospects and customers. This contract role is responsible for coordinating, building, testing, and launching email campaigns, while also contributing to broader lifecycle initiatives as needed. Success in this role requires strong project management, clear communication, and disciplined email calendar coordination to ensure accurate targeting, smooth cross-functional collaboration, and timely delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Build and deploy campaigns and newsletter emails for prospects and customers.
- Partner with design, campaign, and analytics teams to deliver timely, high-quality email sends.
- Manage the email calendar and coordinate timelines and handoffs across teams.
- Create and refine email content; make basic HTML/CSS adjustments when needed.
- Manage segmentation and list pulls for accurate targeting.
- Track and report on performance metrics (open, click, conversion).
- Conduct basic A/B tests and recommend optimizations.
- Ensure compliance with email regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR).
- Support lifecycle or nurture flow development as bandwidth allows.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of hands-on email marketing experience (B2B/SaaS preferred)
- Proficiency with modern marketing automation platforms (Marketo, Inflection, Customer.io, Braze, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience building, QA’ing, and deploying emails end-to-end
- HTML/CSS ability for editing and troubleshooting email code
- Strong project management skills with experience coordinating multiple sends and deadlines.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and operate independently as a contractor.
- Solid analytical skills and familiarity with email performance reporting
Preferred Skills:
- Experience designing or collaborating on email templates in Figma
- Understanding of email deliverability, accessibility, and design best practices
- Experience with lifecycle, onboarding, or nurture program development
