Nature Of Work
Join the Colorado Avalanche Marketing team and gain hands-on experience in sports marketing! This internship offers the opportunity to contribute to dynamic campaigns, in-arena activations, and brand-building initiatives. You’ll support both the Fan Marketing and Brand Strategy team while playing an active role in creating memorable fan experiences in the arena and at events.
Examples of Work Performed
Advertising
- Assist in developing and executing marketing campaigns that align with team messaging and target markets, including writing engaging copy.
- Support the creation and distribution of the weekly Avalanche Marketing email newsletter.
- Research and present innovative concepts and best practices from other teams, leagues, and brands.
Events & Activations
- Collaborate on planning and executing marketing events and activations throughout the Avalanche season, including in-arena promotions and community events.
- Contribute to and assist with campaign recaps.
- Monitor trends in sports, entertainment, and fan engagement to keep the Avalanche brand fresh and relevant.
Miscellaneous
- Required to work some nights and weekends for Avalanche games and events.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications - Minimum
- Working toward a BS/BA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Event Management, Communications, or related field.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
- Preferred
- Previous internship or related job experience.
- Strong communication and writing skills.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for marketing and sports.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a team.
