Role Overview
This role is open to interns, part-time contributors, and freelancers who can commit to consistent weekly output.
We’re looking for a Content Writer (Intern/Part-time/ Freelancer) to work closely with the Head of Editorial and help scale CrossDock’s editorial and web presence.
You’ll start by owning and managing the Monday and Friday curated editions, with responsibilities spanning research, editorial writing, website publishing, and content optimization across the marketing funnel.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to build a serious content and editorial career in business, media, or B2B SaaS, and eventually grow into an independent writer and full-time team member.
What You’ll Do
Editorial & Content
- Research and curate high-quality news across e-commerce, retail, supply chain, and logistics
- Write and publish the Monday and Friday editions of CrossDock Insights
- Assist with editorial research for Thursday deep-dive stories
- Maintain CrossDock’s editorial tone—clear, insightful, and business-first
Website & Content Ownership
- Own and manage web content on the CrossDock website
- Publish newsletter editions and supporting articles on the site
- Ensure consistency across newsletter, website, and distribution channels
Content Marketing & Funnel Optimization
- Optimize editorial content for discovery, engagement, and conversion
- Collaborate on content positioning for lead magnets, reports, and gated content
- Support SEO and newsletter growth efforts through structured content
Growth & Collaboration
- Work closely with the Head of Editorial on content strategy and planning
- Track content performance and apply learnings to improve future editions
- Contribute ideas to improve editorial workflows and reader engagement
What We’re Looking For
- Academic background in Journalism, Mass Communication or related fields.
- Understanding of Supply Chains, Logistics, business and geopolitics
- Prior experience in B2B content marketing.
- Our newsletter is operated and hosted on Beehiiv. Preference will be given to someone who has prior experience with Beehiiv.
- Comfortable with research and synthesizing complex topics into clear narratives
- Understanding of content marketing, newsletters, or digital media
- Ability to work independently and meet recurring publishing deadlines
- Prior experience with writing, newsletters, blogs, or research is a plus (not mandatory)
