Job Title: Video Podcast Producer

About the Role:
CyberGuy.com is looking for a creative and highly organized Video Podcast Producer to manage a new filmed podcast based in Los Angeles. You’ll oversee every aspect of production — from ideation and pre-production to filming, post-production, and delivery of episodes and short-form clips for social media. If you’re passionate about storytelling, love podcasts, and understand how to make content that pops on platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, we want to meet you!
We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just know how to film a great podcast, but understands what actually performs once that content hits social platforms — from clip length and framing to pacing, formats, and platform-specific best practices.

What You’ll Do:
1) Podcast Development:
- Collaborate with hosts and stakeholders to develop episode topics, scripts, and show formats.
- Coordinate scheduling, guest booking,
2) Production:
- Manage in-studio filming, including camera setup, lighting, and sound.
- Work as a one-person band to record the episode using multi-cam and Zoom set-ups
- Ensure high production quality for both audio and video.
- Make intentional filming decisions (camera angles, framing, pacing) with downstream social clips in mind.
3) Post-Production:
- Oversee or directly edit podcast episodes and short-form social clips.
- Create show graphics, lower thirds, and other visual assets.
- Upload and manage content distribution across podcast platforms, YouTube, and social media.
- Edit and package clips based on what each platform tends to favor, not a one-size-fits-all approach.
- Create thumbnails for YouTube
- Collaborate with Newsletter Producer to create promotional copy/assets for weekly pod release
4) Social Media Content:
- Cut and optimize clips for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
- Collaborate with social teams on captions, hashtags, and scheduling for maximum engagement.
- Review social team video content & offer guidance
- Advise on clip length, hook timing, visual composition, and pacing to maximize reach and retention across platforms.
5) What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience producing filmed podcasts or similar content.
- Strong background in video and audio production, lighting, and studio setup.
- Excellent video editing skills (Adobe Premiere).
- Experience creating short-form vertical video content for social media.
- Demonstrated understanding of how different social platforms prioritize and surface video content.
- A proactive, organized, and creative thinker who can handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills.
- Based in Los Angeles, with flexibility for in-person shoots.
Bonus Points:
- Graphic design and motion graphics skills.
- Experience working with talent and managing studio environments.
- Interest in trending formats and viral content strategy.
