Nonprofit trade association and apprenticeship program serving the construction industry is looking for a team member to assist them in promoting their brand to internal and external stakeholders, including advocating for the merit shop construction industry and free enterprise and open competition. This person will be a vital part of the Member Services and Advocacy teams. They will support in coordinating various activities, including social media content creation, newsletter deployment, manage the content and flow of communications, draft press releases, share said releases with media outlets, and maintain a database of media contacts. They will support the development and deployment of an internal and external communications calendar, update the website, manage digital marketing programs, and ensure adherence to the ABC brand in addition to managing administrative tasks and support program deployment as required.
Responsibilities:
- Social Media Content: Create engaging and relevant content across various social media platforms, ensuring brand consistency and engagement with our audience.
- Content Creation: Manage the blog by contributing to blog writing and post updates as well as seeking content from members, maintaining an active online presence.
- Communications: Work to deliver multiple forms of communication to multiple audiences. Help manage segmented lists and ensure accuracy of contact information. Assist in creating newsletters, event invitations, and other member communications.
- Advocacy: Ensure advocacy messages are delivered to members, elected officials, and the public at large. Assist in deployment of fundraising campaigns, educational campaigns, and fundraising events.
- Branding: Support brand promotion for internal and external audiences.
- Marketing: Support the team in ensuring member materials and collateral are updated to reflect current information and branding. Work with their supervisor to deploy new marketing strategies to create engagement with current and potential members and course attendees.
- Event Support: Aid in registration and day of execution and coordination of events, including safety and educational seminars.
- Administrative Support: Handle administrative support items as needed in member services department.
Administrative Support
- Perform office tasks, including answering phones, directing calls, greeting visitors, photocopying, mailing, and electronic/manual filing.
- Manage member processing for new members and renewals including submitting monthly reports, tracking dues, and supporting the onboarding process.
- Ensure adequate member records in the databases.
- Prepare meeting spaces, including setup and cleanup.
- Support the team with scheduling, errands, and additional duties as needed.
- Assist President, Board, and Trustees with other duties as requested.
Volunteer Management
- Provide effective support and serve as lead and secondary liaison as assigned to committees and task forces focused on events and marketing.
- Ensure positive experience for all volunteers.
Member & Program Services
- Ensure members have a world-class experience when engaging with ABC programs, services, and events.
- Support the production of the annual printed membership directory including maintaining data throughout the year, distributing directory proofs, and working with the directory publisher to provide quality, correct content.
- Provide support role for staff members through organizational and administrative support as needed to help further the goals of the association.
- Provide administrative support for member license compliance by submitting CEU information as requested.
- Collaborate with the Government Affairs (GA) team for legislative, advocacy, and fundraising tasks.
- Respond to inquiries from members, students, and employers via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
Other Responsibilities
- Maintain familiarity with programs and activities sponsored, organized, and coordinated by the Association.
- Assist President, Board and Trustees with other duties as requested.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
